I was in the area for a dance convention/half marathon and I love vegan restaurants so I decided to try this place. This restaurant is located near the Alberta Arts district in Portland, which didn’t mean much to me, but it was near the area I was visiting that morning (the Beverly Cleary areas). This place was packed right as... More

Eclectic menu, decor and staff. Great menu options for vegetarians or vegans. Meat also available. Daily specials are the best. Fun drink menu too.

Vita is a vegan cafe... I'm not vegan. However, I've never had a bad meal yet. Have only been there on weekends and tend to order the "cooks special", created by Alex. Haven't had a bad one yet.

The biscuits alone are worth a trip and a (short) wait, but everything else was delicious too. Wonderful coconut based soup and brunch items!

Nice vibe to the place. My wife loved her Caesar Salad especially the dressing. My Burger was good. The only problem was that the piece of lettuce had dirt on it. So obviously not washed off. This kind of killed my appetite and spoiled an otherwise good experience as cleanliness is important to me where I in places I choose... More

Buttery and huge. Really fulfilling for a pastry-lover like me. Most cafes on NE Alberta offer the same baked goods, but that pain au chocolat was unique to Vita Cafe...with a great ambience and friendly service, made my day.

We stopped in for a drink only. No hello or greeting, very blah waiter. Great Gigantic IPA brew. Nice Hot Totty and selection of soda. Cannot comment on the food, but the bathrooms were clean and functional. The only thing I don't understand, is the sign in the window. I'm not sure if certain people are not welcome here. It... We had a lovely breakfast here. I had the 2+2+2 with corn cakes and as the corncakes were so good, I ordered another separate serving of them. They truly serve comfort food here and even better that most of it is organic and local.

Holy cow, was this place good! I got the tempeh ruben and my friend got the lasagne - both of us starting with a corn muffin and a bowl of soup. We loved every bite. A low-key, completely unpretentious greasy spoon, with something for everyone, with very generous portions. Vegan burgers next to real meat hamburgers. Likely a good place... More

I've been to Vita Cafe several times and always enjoyed myself. It's really nice to have a place with a good variety for non meat eaters. The Thai coconut soup is delicious. The people there are great also.
