Loved Anna Bannanas!! Can't say enough about the charming, homey atmosphere, wonderful coffee and food, and friendly service. We wished we could clone this unique coffee shop and plant it in our neighborhood at home!

Anna Bannanas has great coffee, very fresh and delicious food and a true hippy vibe that one doesn't see much anymore. Plus, in addition to sugar, they serve panela - a dehydrated cane sugar product that tastes a little like a chocolate chip cookie - quite delicious in the coffee.

Staying at the Inn next door I would pop to Annas each morning for my coffee. Enjoyed the drink, enjoyed the conversation and loved the whole experience. If you are looking for everything that Starbucks is not, you will find it here and its great. Wish it was my local at home in England that I could pop into :)

What a surprise to find this "off NW 23rd" restaurant with the healthiest breakfast and most decadent banana bread I've found in Portland! Almost like going to Grandma's house (you think) as you climb the front steps and cross the porch - but, wait!! Step inside to an art gallery, coffee bar, pastry shop ... complete with a wide choice... More

New owners since Sept. '15. And they brought Anna's back. Great food, great coffees and drinks, great service. At a cost thats not going to break the bank. " Come on in and set a spell" as the line in the menu states. The ambience is relaxed and comfortable. Music depends on the barista.. From light reggae to classical to... More

I often send an order for a Macchiato back at coffee shops as many don't make it well. Jamie made it so well I ordered two. Really good barista, great coffee beans, everyone really friendly. Wonderful atmosphere and many regulers who keep coming back. Says a lot. Going back today for their tomato soup c basil. Ken

Had a cup of joe one morning. Friendly barista. Got a great sense of what it was like to live in the area. Coffee was good. Food choices, ie pastries were a little lacking.

What else can I say, they make great coffee and are pleasant to talk with - no attitude here! The furniture is eclectic and comfy; like sitting in your own living room. If ever in Portland again. I will stop in at Anna Bananas.
