Long queue to wait but they will text you when your table is ready. The food is sooo good. I tried only their breakfast and this is worth the wait!!

My schnitzel sandwich was really good, the French fries were cooked perfectly. The service was quick and they seated us fast. My wife had the salmon hash and there wasn't much salmon in it.

A dish that I deeply recommend is the "Crunchy French Toast" it is indeed crunchy but the flavor is amazing! The service is great, and there omelets seemed to be very good! Although there was a little bit of a wait especially in the winter because it cold. Also, so you might want to schedule a reservation in advance.

Mother's is ALWAYS a great spot. The salmon hash is my go-to. Tried a corn beef breakfast special w/ a mustard sauce . OMG. Glad I did. Staff is tremendous - personable, knowledgeable and the right mix of "do you need anything else" and teasing you about your meal, life, etc. Breakfast/brunch are must do if you are downtown.

We were staying at a hotel nearby but didn't want to pay arm and a leg to get a quick breakfast at the hotel so we googled for the best place to have breakfast and Mothers Bistro came up. We loved the ambience and the food. Price was great for the quality and the volume of food we received. Service... More

As my title says, I love this place! We were visiting during Portland's historic snowstorm and the staff could have been pretty grumpy - but they weren't! They were awesome! Love, love, love them all. Upbeat and positive! Since most places were closed due to the weather and Mother's was walking distance from the hotel, we chose to eat breakfast... More

I came for dinner on a week day and got seated right away. The decor is lovely and the layout seems to consist of several different rooms, so it never felt crowded. I had the half-meatloaf, half-pot roast meal, which came with green beans and mashed potatoes. Biscuits were also served before the entree arrived. These were fantastic. The entree... More

I can't say enough good things about this place. it's charming and romantic. the food is hands down the best around. The country country fried chicken is so good that my grandmother in heaven was probably drooling over it. The carrot cake was easily the best I have had and the largest slice I have seen.

We have eaten here many times throughout the years! We usually come for breakfast and have had Mother's Day celebrations here 3 or 4 times. The food is delicious! Fresh, local ingredients and so thoughtfully prepared! Very busy, make reservations if you can.

This place has lots of style, great, friendly staff and a unique layout. The breakfast special was a fantastic omellete with roasted potatoes and toast. The potatoes were a wonderful blend of butter and garlic. The two negativse were a six dollar glass of orange juice (seriously?!) and a child's size serving of potatoes--they were delicious, but there should have... More
