We were very weary from spending July 5th on the Columbia River and decided to try the Grill in the Shiloh Inn because it was both close and open! This is definitely a sorts bar. Apparently they host live banda on weekends but the night we were there it was quiet.
Our beer was a local amber on draft and served nice and cold. Our waitress was very attentive (she was from New York but we did not get her name, sorry) and friendly. Not being hungry enough for a full dinner we opted for grilled chicken club sandwiches. My husband chose the potato salad as a side while I picked fries. I won. It thick cut crispy steak fries. He's lucky I shared.

Warm summer evening, so I opted for a Cobb salad and glass of wine on the deck. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. Salad was decent. Atmosphere not bad, a view of the birds wheeling around the dam.

this is handy if you're staying at the Celilo Inn; burgers were good.
i also got a cup of hot tea and they gave me three bags which was more than enough.

I used to like to come here; but not anymore. New owners, bad food and unfriendly waitresses. I have seen such a difference in the food that I had to write, and I usually don't. I've been going there for a couple of years and see the difference. I can honestly say I doubt I will be back.

My husband and I had another great time here. They have a new look but we loved it. So comfortable and the views are amazing.
The best part is James! He is a gem!!!! Can't stress enough how great of a waiter he is.
We come here often as we can and plan to return as soon as we can.

Dave, James, and Vicki made this an amazing trip. Their company was the perfect compliment for their delicious food and affordable prices. Yes, I would have enjoyed it if any two of those two items were present, but having all 3 just pushed my experience above and beyond. The staff have wonderful senses of humor, while taking your order quite seriously! I loved them! And, I love this restaurant!

We came to stay at the hotel and decided to eat at the restaurant. We are SO glad we did. Spaghetti and meatballs kid and parent approval!! Highly. Fried catfish so fun and a first! And steamed clams loved by ALL! Thank you to James for your sweet and speedy service.

Really enjoyed our dinner at Portage Grill.
The server had great suggestions. The Cajun Po Boy was excellent!! The quality was great. Make sure you get the red beans and rice.

This restaurant has something for everyone. Southern favorites, Gumbo, crawdads etc. The service was fabulous and prompt. Jake and his brother were my servers for the 5 meals i ate there. All were excellent and i look forward to going there again. There is a view of the Bonneville Dam and Columbia River which was great.

Food and Service was terrible, the guy was not savvy on the menu Items , and the menu Items were miss leading , if you order Salmon cakes with Crab meat, it should not be imitation crab meet, awful, the food no flavor, green beans were very blan, steak not seasoned and tough, no refills on our water, for $ 28 a plate it was awful.

It is attached to the Shiloh Inn, great place to have dinner, has a lounge also. Your tired of driving, you don’t need to, just walk from you room.
