Their pastries are some of the best. But their prices have increased since the Pandemic. Couldn’t buy as much as we usually do. The tourists that visit doesn’t seem to mind the price. Breads are fresh but must be eaten within a few days as...it will get moldy quickly. The cookies are still the best, the lemon ones are great! Sticky buns one of my favorite. There is always a line and takes awhile to finally get inside. Once in, it is apparent that the customers that have never been there are undecided as to what they want. But, I remember doing that myself the first time there. They are only open three days a week, Thursday to Saturday.More

This little bakery feels like a piece of home for me. I am from Germany and have been living in the US for over 40 years. Always in search for a great bakery. That makes me feel like home. Wow everything there is so good...and the people are just amazing. Thank you to the baker and the creative personnel you made a German girl very happy. Kind regards, Vic and IsaMore

One of the best bakeries I have ever found. Everything is simply delicious. We book a week’s vacation in Waldport so we can go to Pacific Sourdough! Be sure to check their hours because they aren’t open all days. Enjoy!!

The line to get in to purchase pastries and bread speaks for itself. Only open Thursday through Saturday starting at 10 the line starts forming around 9:30. On Memorial Day weekend there were at least 20 in line. Why? The absolute best in everything. No...matter what you choose you won’t be disappointed. Pacific Sourdough isn’t a hidden treasure it’s a well known place on the coast. Go, stand in line and you will return again and again!More

Not a restaurant, they have a small customer area and limited days and hours of operation, you someotimes have to wait in a line, outside, in the rain just to see what they have available, its one line in and around the small area and...then out a different door, This is not usually a quick stop at a bakery, if that is what your looking for. No seating at all. They have had some lovely pastries in the past, we used to get them at the Farmers Market and the lines were always very long. Their pastries just are not as good these days and they still overcook their breads so the are a dark, nearly burnt, brown and dried out. Too bad, we love bread but they always overcook it so we do not buy it anymore. We have spoken to dozens of customers while waiting in lines at the Market and their store in Waldport over the years and every one of them said they too wished the bread was not so dark and dry, but they buy it anyway. The owner claims they cook the bread dark on purpose but just because some people accept their dry and overcooked bread does not mean it is good and could not be improved upon, nor that they would not sell more if it was a light brown. They literally made a statement about them not needing to sell more becasue they have too many customers as is. But they also have to "donate" the leftovers to get a tax break so I think they may have felt insulted.More

If you enjoy sourdough bread, then Pacific Sourdough is a Must Visit. If you enjoy sweet treats, then you must take time and visit. Over a weeklong stay, we were able to visit this bakery twice. Be mindful of their limited days & hours of...operation. We bought a couple of loaves of sourdough bread, muffins, scones, turnovers, a cake, cookies, and pie bites. All were very good. Next time I will buy extras to take home. Bread knife...this speaks to the low quality of cutlery in rental places / lack of cutlery in motels... and my desire to evenly slice the delicious bread... On our first visit, the line was out the door...14 people ahead of us just to the front door. Inside, the line wraps around to accommodate another 10-12 customers. There is plenty of help so the line moves along. Also, be advised this is not a cafe, but they offer a few sandwich selections. Once inside the door, the strategy (for newbies) is to look over the shoulders of other customers to see what is on top of and in the display cases. Make your decisions early to help move the line along. Also, check their website to see what the daily bread options are. Again, they are only open 3 days a week and some bread offerings change day-to-day. On our second visit, there were only 10 people waiting in line outside the door. I spoke with a regular about the line outside. Yes, come with the expectation of waiting outside. Sometimes, there is no line outside, but that is just the luck of draw. Also, we did not sample all they offer. There is also a 'cold case' for 'sweet treats' that need to be chilled.More

The bakery is small and there is a line out the door so it pays to do some research on their site so that you knowwhat they have. And then you can buy way more than you ever intended because everything looks delicious and tastes...even better... Thank you for a really great bakery so well run with so many nice people.More

Open Thursday through Saturday only 10 am - 3 pm. Arrive early in the day for...the best selection. The line moves quickly and is well worth the wait. We just love this bakery! Been going there for awhile and have never been disappointed. Love their breads and the Scottish Shortbread cookies Sooo good. Try their Swedish Solstice bread. There is nothing, I mean, nothing you can buy and be disappointed. Everything delicious. They...are open Thursday to Saturday only. The problem? They have one employee that has shown to be a little curt. Others are great, helpful and always welcomes you and happy to see customers. We have called and have been shorted on answers. Other times, very, very helpful. Pacific Sourdough has got such a great product, one can forget some bad service.More
