Wanted to try Luna Sea House for Christmas Eve dinner this year, and ended up stopping in for lunch to check it out. I was looking forward to a great meal in a more-or-less fine dining atmosphere after reading several reviews of this restaurant. Not at all what I expected. The food was very good. Fresh fish cooked perfectly. But... More

Place is wonderful for getting fresh seafood. The oysters and fish and chips are just great. Our favorite place in Yachats . .

Loved the name, so I had to eat here while in Yachats. I had scallops and my husband had a seafood combo that had halibut, salmon and albacore tuna. It all tasted fresh and was well-cooked. The server was attentive and cheerful, answered our questions and kept our classes full. The shop consists of a few tables and a refrigerator... More

This is tiny "hole in the wall" restaurant which is very popular with the locals. The menu has a lot to offer as well as the ability to do take out. My husband had an excellent fish and chips plate and I had the most awesome "chowder" called Slumgullion. A meal in itself and beyond description. Service was great and... More

As always, great food, great service, fresh ingredients and always a smile. I don't normally like battered an fried anything but let me tell you.... The Luna's plater is fantastic! Its light and not over done or even remotely greasy. The coleslaw has a great apple disposition and the soups have always been good. The only downfall with this place... More

Supper on the 23rd December. Good vibe in the restaurant, small room, casual dining. Party had halibut and grilled oysters. Both excellent. Attentive service. Great "golden oldies" background music! Excellent value for money. Will return to sample more of the lovely fresh sea food.

6 of us stopped for dinner. Everyone had halibut which was prepared perfectly. Some also had the Slumgullion, which was unusual and delicious. The two guys working were good cooks and provided good service and told us a bit about their boat and the local area. It is a very small restaurant, a bit cramped, but otherwise comfortable. Good off-street... More

We stopped by for lunch after a tip received from a local pal of ours. I got the cod and chips, and my partner got the bay shrimp and chips. Everything was super fresh and delicious! It's a small "hole in the wall" type of atmosphere, but don't let that fool you - Luna Sea Fish House has their formula... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants, and one I always visit when I'm near the coast. They have a unique chowder recipe that's a little spicy and really changes things up in a good way. Their slumgullion is by far the best. I dream of that creamy cheesy goodness every day of my life, and I find myself craving... More

This really is a hole in the wall. We were disappointed after reading all the reviews. We ordered the fish and chips, which were good, but not outstanding.
