We visit here once a year from CT! I love the atmosphere, sitting at a table with complete strangers, with unlimited food. It takes you back to the times when dinner was important, family time. You meet all kinds of people from all over. Recently we took our two grandmothers 80 and 85 to PA for the weekend. They loved... More

When you are away from home it is always good to find a nice place that makes you feel right at home. This is some great home cooking without the clean up.

Not impressed. I've tasted better fried chicken in other restaurants in the area. Also the mashed potatoes tasted like boxed flakes. The the staff was below par. The gift shop was ok except the things we wanted to purchase were damaged. They went downstairs to get replacements of the damaged goods and they came out of the bag with defects.... More

Very friendly, helpful staff and wonderfully luscious baked goods. Apple dumplings, delicious pies & homemade bread. A great spot, especially if you have memories of a German heritage.

The brown butter noodles are the absolutely best thing here. The fried chicken was really good also but it was a little bit dry. Pepper cabbage slaw is great too, very refreshing with the heavier items. The cherry tart pie is a delicious dessert option if they have it. Good prices also for the menu and the family style dining,... More

I like the atmosphere and the setup You get to meet people from all over the place. Overall a good experience. The food was good but lacks variety. Somewhat expensive

I first visited this restaurant 30 years ago as a young girl. The fried chicken is delicious. The ham was okay, it could have been juicer. There homemade sausage and potatoe soup is fabulous!!! There homemade rolls are delicious along with their whipped butter. Mmmm could have made a meal on that alone. We had no room left over for... More

We opted to eat in the seperate dining room and order from the menu. I ordered their famous fried chicken with mashed potatoes and Amish butter noodles. The portions are big and plenty of left overs to take with you. Overall great food and good experience.
