I took my wife here, for Valentines Day. This is not the first time I have been here. Every meal I have had the honor of eating has been nothing less than fantastic. This evening consisted of Oysters on the Half Shell, topped w/ a vinegar scallion mix (6 for $12), beautifully presented Ahi Tuna TarTar, succulent Beef Tips w/Risotto,... More
We went without a reservation (next time I will, esp on a weekend) - this place was hopping. We had been before, but it must have been a slow period. We were seated at the "bar" and I'd do that again if I could. This was where you can see the food prep going on and it was a treat... More
Tucked away behind another building on the south side of Rt. 31 just east of the I-76 Donegal exit, this BYOB café is far more than a café. With an upscale mountain interior, the Out of the Fire Café offers a pleasant atmosphere and very good quality food for a luncheon stop. The homemade mushroom soup was excellent and the... More
Brought my wife here for her birthday. We brought a bottle of wine with us and had an amazing meal. The resort we were staying at suggested Out of the Fire Cafe for dinner and it was great! We made a reservation ahead of time and had a nice table near the window. Couldn't have asked for more!
This is a hidden gem! It was recommended by a cousin who lives in the area and it did not disappoint. A great rustic setting and atmosphere that serves gourmet food. Everyone in the family loved what they ordered from the mushroom soup to the sweet potato fries(the best I've ever had), to the Steak nachos to the pulled pork... More
It is overrated - this restaurant is average. It's supposed to be famous for the mushroom soup, but if you head up to 7 Springs, there is a restaurant there called Helen's that is 100 times better.
Excellent meal at BYOB ($3 fee) restaurant with beautiful views of the mountains. I had Out of the Fire's famous mushroom soup, and the salmon salad. Both were delicious! I tasted the lamb lollipops, served over shoe string fries.....so tasty! The restaurant was packed that evening. Service was a little slow due to the large crowd but I would definitely... More
A food tour guide in Pittsburg recommended this place, so coming back from Fallingwater we decided to stop for lunch. Setting of the restaurant was very nice with large picture windows overlooking rolling hills. Food was fabulous, and so was the service. Highly recommend the cream of mushroom. Really, really good. Would definitely go back if in the area again.
