Within the Hershey lodge this was a convenient meal with no drive. Was attending a nursing conference. And spending the night. Food and service and ambience 100% ...only problem was after a glass or two of awesome wine, I must have looked at our waitress...funny and then she seemed afraid to come near our table! Late arrival, 22.15, without a reservation. Restaurant fully booked due to auction visitors eating late. Very friendly and helpfull staff managed to squeeze us in and we were allowed to eat at the bar. The steaks we ordered was grilled to perfection, big, juicy and...served with delicious vegetables. Not a budget restaurant but absolutely value for money. Highly recommended.More
This restaurant is in a peculiar spot in the lobby but isn't too hard to find. We dined on the patio that evening which was perfect since the weather wasn't unbearable. Sea and land lovers food are served here so no need to dwell over...which type to eat. The NY strip steak is big and tasty and luckily there wasn't too much fat on it. The chocolate steak sauce is great and wasn't too sweet. More of an upscale place at Hershey Lodge but had a great experience.More
Forebay is a delightful option at the end of any day in Hershey, PA. I love the chalet style atmosphere plus the private outdoor terrace. Their many offer a gourmet selection from small options as lobster bisque to formal entrees as steaks. Took my attention...the side’s list. It is really unique, actually, they offered lobster, asparagus, and sweet corn risotto! First time that I found so special sides choices. Great choice for any group or solo visitors.More
Really looked forward to dining here, but the experience was fairly lackluster. The prices are outrageous for what they serve here. Filet mignon was eh, and the cowboy cut ribeye was very bland. I absolutely loveeeeeee béarnaise sauce, but I immediately spit out the piece...of meat I had with the sauce on it. Will not dine here again.More
We went twice while at the Lodge. Better than the Circular at Hershey Hotel. Beautiful, quiet, and amazing food and servers.
Decided to go to the Forebay at the last minute. Made reservations easily. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Enjoy our meal and after dinner drinks. We would recommend this restaurant.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for something a little more upscale. The short rib chip app is amazing. Our entrees were just as awesome. Generous portions help with the value as our entrees ran about $35 each. But worth it and we’ll be back! Ryan...was an awesome server!More
The inside is very warm, welcoming and relaxing. The service was great. The drinks, dirty martini & chocolate dessert martinis were excellent. We stated with appetizers, the special soup New England Clam Chowder, very good flavor. Also had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, not that good....Of course had the pretzel bread which is outstanding!!! Had more pears then actual Brussels sprouts. Would not order next time, just get the regular ones on the “sides”. Kids had house salad & onion rings. The loved and ate both. Kids then had the pasta with butter. More then enough, happy we ordered one kids meal & split it. Wife & I did the same with our main, we shared the NY strip steak (medium) with the blue cheese butter, Boursin Mashed Potatoes & Aged Cheddar and Scallion Cornbread. Unfortunately the sides were the best part. The steak was cooked medium but the underside was overly charred. Left a burnt after taste. I would absolutely go back.More
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by our dinner experience at The Forebay. We started with drinks and my martini was excellent. The restaurant wine list is good and we opted for wine by the glass and enjoyed interesting wines with a generous pour....My ice wedge salad was among the best I've ever had and our entrees - linguini with seafood and king salmon - were excellent. The service was a bit slow, but not a major problem. If you're staying at the Hershey Lodge and are looking for a upscale dinner this is a good choice.More
