I have NEVER had an enjoyable meal here. Why do I keep getting dragged back? Ignorant friends, or my place of work scheduling a business meeting here - because it’s available! Last night was the last straw - my friend (for inscrutable reasons) likes the...place - I think she knows the owners - so we booked a 6:15 table for dinner. It was busy (why??), so it took about 10 minutes to seat us, but that’s ok. Once seated we were greeted promptly and our drink orders were taken - yay. However the waitress kept coming back to apologize about the delay in getting us our glasses of wine. Seriously - she came back like three times, and stood there awkwardly listening to us, and I’m never rude to wait staff but she was kind of constantly there listening to us, to the point that it felt intrusive. I really wanted to tell her to buzz off. It was always to tell us she didn’t have our drinks yet. Ultimately she just took our food order before wine ever came - what was the issue there?? The bar was right next to us, and it wasn’t full. Anyway, the menu is limited but QUITE expensive for what you get ($39.50 for crab cakes?!) - this is not a Michelin experience! Finally we got our wine. Finally we got our food. I will digress here just to say from the several times that I’ve been dragged here, 1) the food is nothing stellar, and on occasion it’s been just plain poor, 2) the serving staff are not well trained - when the place first opened they would die rather than EVER approach your table, and then it was only to spill something oily on your expensive pants. 3) they used to try to put business groups of 6 or more into a tight, uncomfortable booth - oh horrid. 4) older or infirm people get seated upstairs or downstairs so they have to climb and hobble a million miles. Come on guys… Anyway, at the end of this meal, a different waitress came along and lurked there intrusively… when we noticed she was there, she said, “no rush, but can you wrap up your conversation? We’ve got another party to seat here.” What on earth - we hadn’t even been there an hour! My friend asked me if I wanted to continue our conversation at the bar, but there was no way I was going to spend even more money on that place, so I told her I needed to go home. Together we each had a glass of wine (maybe she had two), small entrees and a SHARED dish of sorbet, and combined it came to about $130. Please, for the love of god, do not go there. I always regret it, and hope I’ve finally, FINALLY learned my lesson.More

The place was just FANTASTIC! The salads were sumptuous for a start. My wife had the crab cakes which were crab meat with just enough "cake" to hold them together. I had Duck breast which was done to PERFECTION. Can't wait to visit it again.

Went to The Mill for my husband’s 60th birthday. What a great experience. From the server to dessert, everything was top notch. Shay explained that this is a farm to table, scratch kitchen where everything is made on site from scratch. Hubby had the duck...breast and it was perfect. I had the tomahawk pork chop with Brussels sprouts and risotto… divine. Even their seasonal drinks were perfect. You won’t be disappointed! My only complaint is the hostess… On arrival, I asked her to tell the server it was my husband’s birthday, and she plainly told me I was welcome to could tell her. Why? Why couldn’t she just say yes, of course…More

Everything from the service, the cocktails, the appetizer and amazing lunch was fabulous! My husband had a Bloody Mary and I had a Vanilla Pear Mimosa; both were yummy! We split the brisket flatbread as an appetizer and it was delicious! We both had their...famous crab cake sandwich with fries and honestly it was one of the best crab cake sandwiches we ever had!More

Nice restored building but very little is original to the building. Food was good but nothing special. I had the aged strip steak which didn't taste aged to me but was ok, mashed potatoes were good. Wife had pork chop which was good, Couple we...where with had Salmon and Ribeye which they said was good. Poor review is strictly due to credit card charge being $10 more than signed receipt. Service was fair at best.More

To be honest, I was a little disappointed in the meal. I expected the food to be much better. We shared the queso fundido and it was just ok. The chips were a combination of crispy to possibly been sitting out for a while. My...husband had the pork chop and he enjoyed that. I had the seared chicken breast. It was ok, not great. I wouldn’t order again. My daughter had the kids’ chicken fingers. Those were good. I wish I was able to order from the kids’ menu. I would have enjoyed my meal more.More
