Pizza and atmosphere are the best! What a find! Sergio makes the best pizza while spinning his from his music collection. Everyone mingles about, moving from table to table sharing stories and great vibes. Finish your drink and head to the fridge to grab another,...More

So sorry that we missed this highly rated restaurant. Had reservations for March 16th and discovered Sergio had passed away early Saturday as stated in earlier review.

Muchies Bluues is one of those underground, "in the know" places, with obscure hours, limited food quantity, and a cult-like following. Open only three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, i think) if you find yourself there, you are one of the lucky few. There...More

So sad to learn tonight that Sergio passed away last night of a heart attack while doing what he loved. Dancing away while making pizza and yelling at whomever got in his way.

Authentic Italian pizza! I had the pizza with ham, others at the table had pizzas with sausage and also gorgonzola. All of the pizzas were really tasty and at $8 each, a good deal. Loved the honor bar drink system. It can take awhile to...More

Best pizza I've had in Central America hands down. Also love the ambience of the place. It's the place where locals and long term foreigners meet and it has a special feel to it. Sergio makes all the pizzas himself, and that's all there is...More

Spent another great evening at Munchie Blues. We had such a great time meeting new people and socializing. This week our pizza was the first one out. It was delicious, just like last week. I was misinformed about the rum. Please do not bring your...More

A fun experience as well as a great pizza! i am not sure of the story behind Sergio and his jungle pizze joint and how it relates at all to Nicaragua, but if it is anything like the product (tunes cranked, self serve bar, home...More

Description
Muchies Bluues serves up authentic wood oven pizza in the jungle. Pizzeria close to San Juan del Sur. It's on the road to Playa Maderas/ Playa Marsella hidden on the left hand side. If you like to eat a "real brick oven pizza" come to visit me. You must make reservations in advance!
