We returned to an old haunt of many years ago and the cow and calf brought back many happy memories - and it's even better! We returned from "down south" and met up with old neighbours. It was a wonderful evening and the food, company and location lived up to expectations

Came here for Sunday lunch as a table of 4. This is a busy venue so we thought we were in for an hour wait but we didn't mind we just hit the wine. The food came in great time and looked really good. The server was very polite and efficient which was great because at least one on our... More

The service and the food here is fine, but there's nothing that's going to blow your mind! It's standard bar fayre.

Visited this pub Monday lunchtime after a walk with our dog. Myself, partner and dog were greeted by friendly staff and an open log fire. Food arrived promptly and was very well priced. A good variety of foods on the menu. Overall a very pleasant pub to visit. Would recommend.

This pub would go out of business if it was located anywhere else- it is part of the Vintage Inn chain of pubs, however is unlike any Vintage Inn I have ever eaten in. The service is dreadful, it took forever to be served and we felt that we had been forgotten about despite being a table of 10. However... More

Hello there and thank you for your feedback. I'm terribly sorry you've not had a good experience with us. This is very disappointing indeed. We are continuously working on improving the execution of our meals during excessively busy periods. In regards to the service you have received, I am truly sorry your experience wasn't up to our standards. We do... More

The room was very warm and comfortable , The staff were very polite and helpful even when they were under pressure due the the number of customers. We ate there on the first night and picked a time when there was a lull , the food was very nice and the sweets were fantastic Thanks to all there

The dining room was busy with families; we were shown our reserved lovely window table for 7. Good menu and service with a big smile. However, the main meals and lunch bites were only very average; with small portions and lacked finishing touches. Told that Vintage Inns (the company) had that day announced staff lay-offs. The dessert service was substantially... More

Dear Diane, thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry your lunch was not to the standards that we try to achieve. While it is true we have had to decrease our overall labour after the summer period, we have not laid anyone off and I'm sorry you were inconvenienced with this information while our focus should have been solely on... Great atmosphere fabulous views good choice of beers and wine. Delicious food. Dogs welcome. One thing I would change... A Yorkshire iconic attraction like the cow and calf on ilkley moor deserves better I.e. Home made proper Yorkshire puddings! Worldwide travellers and uk travellers need real puds!

Went for Sunday lunch with friends. Staff seemed overworked and very busy, tables dirty, glasses piled up at the bar. Had a 25min wait for Sunday roasts, wouldn't have an issue with this alone but when they came the food was lukewarm and the Yorkshire puds were rock hard-couldnt get my knife through it at all! When we complained they... More
