Just been to the Hop Pole pub. Despite not booking as only in the area for the weekend they squeezed us in. Glad they did. Superb meal and quick service. Good ambience and helpful staff. Well recommended.

Our party of seven spent hours over a delicious three-course lunch. We never felt hurried by Margaret or our other wait staff. Traditional fare with a twist, plenty for the heartiest of appetites. Deserts got a big thumbs up. We'll be back!

We went to the Hop Pole on Wednesday for steak night. The steaks were cooked to perfection, many thanks to Dean and his team. As usual the staff were helpful and friendly. Thanks everyone.

We are so sorry that the Beef went under temperature. I can assure you and anyone reading this our food is ALL freshly cooked. The Beef was made as a whole wellington, chef misjudged how hot it was. Apologies again glad you enjoyed it. Louise
