Had an excellent meal at the Button Oak. Really lovely succulent steak and the service from the staff was warm & friendly. Would highly recommend it to everyone.

Ordered meal and dessert (which took over one and a quarter hours to be served, AND then the chef forgot my dessert! Cauliflower and green beans were not cooked (hard as rocks). Will not be going there again!
Plenty of food, barmaid was very friendly. Lad waiting on table kept referring to my husband and I as "guys !!". Endearing to start but very annoying after the 6th time !!!

Nice little pub, very cheap! ! bottle diet coke, half beer and 2 baguettes...£10-20 I had breast chicken baguette, it warm cooked chicken on a warm baguette, ample and delicious husband had ham and tomato baguette again plentiful and really lean ham.

A bit concerned when we arrived as car park was also at empty. How misleading! Very pleasant landlord/lady and delicious food. We recommend the ham & chips (hand cut) or the mushroom stroganoff. Good portions, too. Whilst we were tucking in, the place filled up...More
