We really liked brockentcote. It is a quirky Venue and the grounds are pretty. Photographs would be really nice inside and outside. It is nicely decorated and didn't need too much dressing. We liked that you could have exclusive use as other hotels have been too pricey for hire exclusively. There are 21 bedrooms which we think is a good... More

Myself and my wife had been given a voucher for an afternoon tea for our 25th anniversary so we thought we'd make a trip of it and stay overnight on a Thursday. From walking into the hotel the staff were wonderful. They were very attentive and couldn't do enough. We were upgraded to a superior room which was nice and... More

Superb customer service from the Maitre D' , Waitress Danka and front of house staff for an excellent lunch (Thanks Chef!) and efficient and friendly service. Good selection of wines. We started with champagne and non alcoholic cocktails followed up by the recommended seasonal wines. For starters we had Charred mackerel, cucumber, apple, horseradish mousse,- Rabbit rillettes, agen prunes, pickled... More

My second lunch here in recent times but on this occasion my dining companion was a celiac and required a strict gluten free meal. I have to say that she was treated exceptionally well throughout the meal and that all her dietary needs were met! Great food, exceptional service and such a wonderful location - highly recommended. If you require... More

4 people, all of whom received good starters; mackerel, chicken parfait, celeriac soup and scallops....then we enter the realm of the unbelievable. One of the ladies in the party had halibut and reported it to be excellent the rest of us chose the fine dining version of Christmas Dinner and that, it transpires, was a huge mistake. Sprouts: raw, so... More

I'm not a fan of posh restaurants but this one manages to combine a beautiful location with fine food and lovely friendly service. For a special occasion, this is hard to beat.

Received a gift voucher for a champagne afternoon teat through edenhotelcollection. Went through the details of the available hotels (all very nice) so chose Brockencote as it is the nearest to us.
