After a long walk in Shropshire and a slow drive back to Birmingham we stopped off for lunch/dinner as we had drove past in the morning and commented that it looked nice from the outside. Very friendly staff and a bonus that it's dog friendly. Good beer and menu to top. Had the chicken and rice and it was cracking,... More

Tuesday 17th Jan 2017. A damp dull misty day. 28 of us braved the elements for our January lunch run. No old cars this time with all chosing to use modern vehicles for trip. Wimps all of us. This was the first trip here for us. First impressins were cozy, warm and clean. An extensive lunch time menu and a... More

My mum and I first discovered The Swan in May 2016 when we popped in for lunch after visiting a house we planned to hire for a family gathering for my mum's 70th. We were impressed by the food and got chatting to Chris and Tracey and discovered they did outside catering. We decided to book them. We then revisited... More

This is a very homely and friendly pub although a little dated inside. The food was decent, quick and good value. We only had the baguettes (as seriously hungover) but they were tasty and what was expected but not anything special. The roast looked very good though.

This is without doubt, the best Sunday I have spent for a long time. The Sunday roast was the best I have had in a restaurant since I can't remember when. The beef was spectacular but I'm not convinced the roast potatoes weren't frozen but this is the only fault I could find. The service was efficient but very relaxed... More

Being local, this used to be a regular place to pop down to in the 90's for a good pub meal. Its a reflection of how the pub has 'developed' that we rarely go now, last visited about 5 years ago. We thought it was time to check back, and went for dinner. It was pretty quiet for a weekend evening.... More

2nd visit to the Swan and no disappointment. Food was good quality and the staff made us feel at home. I would recommend the Swan, we booked to return with 9 of our family next month. Can't wait.

Stopped at The Swan for a meal for the first time having driven past it for many years. Really enjoyed the Thai fish cakes as a main course with delicious varied salad and home made coleslaw, followed by an unusual and tasty lemon and ginger creme brûlée. Friendly service, not too long to wait, a menu which was hard to... More
