Historic surroundings and quirky décor. Friendly attentive service. Traditional food including home made quiche and soups of the day. All delicious. Interesting garden and fascinating antiques & collectibles.

Soup and a sandwich. Carrot soup was tasteless, ham sandwich was nice, a good tea room menu though and food served on China wear. Staff very friendly. The best part of this though - for me - was the antiques on the upper two floors....More

Visited during a mammoth bike ride, and will definitely return again soon. Welcoming staff and cute interior, plus soft scones served on vintage china. Really full of character. Antiques and trinkets galore but no room to carry anything on my bike (my purse is thankful!).

So we visited here today for a catch-up with family. Lovely lovely cake. Can strongly recommend the cherry and almond flavour. Really nice waitress service. Still slightly too cool for sitting in the garden but really enjoyed looking around the potting sheds which are filled...More
