Service was excellent, food was fresh and very tasty. Staff are friendly and made us feel very welcome. We are all intending to bring our family and friends back here for more luscious food

First time in the Oak but had arranged to meet friends who recommended the pub, first impression count and the staff seemed very helpful and friendly, served quickly and shown to table with out any fuss. We’ve been going The Royal Oak for a good few years now. Mostly on a Sunday night to do Sean’s quiz, but also for nights out and nice food. What do you want from a pub in 2021? Number one , are you made to...feel welcome? Adrianne and Simon and until recently their lovely son Elliot are always there , always nice, always caring and always kind with lots of great work in the community especially during lockdown. Number two, is the beer any good? Fullers beer is always a treat but at The Royal Oak us beer drinkers are double lucky as not only do they serve top quality London Pride but also the superb Gale’s HSB. This is one of the best pints you will get in this part of London. Simon and Adrianne also offer a wide range of lagers and craft beers and decent wine as well. Number three. What’s the food like? Always good, always freshly cooked, always changing. No sign of Brake Brothers in this pub. I’ve just read some of the ridiculous reviews. This pub does what it says on the tin. Clean, safe, friendly , unpretentious serving decent beer , wine and food at reasonable prices. Exactly the sort of business we all need to be supporting in these difficult times.More

Down in London with some mates. Found this pub. Really good atmosphere, all the staff helpful. In particular the sea food risotto was sublime. Double JD & coke was very reasonably priced. Cabanas were comfortable.

This pub is not on the river it is by a man made canal feeding a sewage plant. It is not in central london but is more expensive here for a pint and if you really want to know how to mess up basic food...the chef here could give you a master class. If you also want to learn how to be rude and obnoxious have a word with the team behind the bar. Beautiful experiences to be had for all.More

Before we were even given the chance to look at the menu we were asked to put a credit card over the bar, which is really not a good idea to let your card out of your sight. When you do finally come to pay...you are told you cannot have a credit card receipt which I find very unusual. The food was ok but a bit over priced for what you had.More

Great food, nice decor and superb staff! We had a great eve with a super atmosphere. Staff were attentive especially Elliot and Caroline, they took good categories and made us feel welcome. Food was hot and tasty and all safety measures were in place. You...must try this place.More
