Book last minute on recommendation from a local shop owner as wanted somewhere a bit more special than our hotel. Good call as lovely mean and atmosphere. They were busy but the service was excellent and our food served quickly and piping hot.

There were four of us we arrived without booking a table, although the restaurant was busy they found a table without no fuss. We all ordered differently, and all agreed the meal was very good, the staff were welcoming and friendly.

An amazing meal from a very interesting and varied menu. The Cock and Bull (Chicken and steak) was excellent and the gammon was huge. The staff and friendly and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend eating here.

Popped in for a cream tea late afternoon. Made to feel welcome. Excellent Cornish cream tea. Reasonably priced.

You need to book in advance for Sunday Lunch as many were turned away while we were eating. Lunch is a carvery, 4 meats and 7 veg, all served to you on a plate while you watch, no help yourself. They ladle the gravy on...More
