A rather Disappointing lunch ,one beef, one chicken and one roast pork. Very average but excellent roast potatoes and rather poor vegetables accompanied the meal.We did not have a pudding because we had another appointment and time was running short as we had a rather long wait in the first instance.

You will receive a warm welcome at this unspoilt cosy pub. The pub is full of character and has a roaring fire on cold days. Lovely gardens to sit out on warmer days. Good range of very nicely cooked pub fayre . Well worth visiting.

My wife and I decided to try somewhere new and from a brochure went for the Cross House Inn. We arrived to a very warm welcoming atmosphere, placed our order and waited and waited and waited, we had three apologies for the delay and in total waited an hour and a half. There were only 10 of us dining in... More

Dear David I am sorry to read you were not happy with your meal. I have tried to contact you by email but have received no response. Our main Chef was on holiday the day of your visit and I although as you say only 10 were eating you all arrived within 20 mins of each other which does put... More

Four of us ate here for the first time tonight. Good atmosphere with a good warming fire on a cold night. The steaks were superb and my gammon was delicious. Friendly staff and a busy bar. Will certainly return to eat here again.

We have had several meal's at this pub and also had a 60th party here. The food is absolutely gorgeous we have never had a bad meal there. The drinks are a bit expensive but the food makes up for it. They have special nights like pie and pint night which are really good value. Good homemade grub.

As you walk through the door you are not struck by a pretentious theme bar, or a gastro pub; But a really friendly village pub where farmers go to kick off their boots and have a pint at lunchtime. In fact I would bet that you will not be 'stunned' buy anything until the first food comes out... fantastic. Really... More

A group of 12 of us were able to book a table an hour before arriving. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Such a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food is outstanding especially the pies. Everyone in the group were so impressed with both the food and genuinely kind friendly staff. Wish I lived here as it would be my... More

Husband and I decided last minute to go out for something to set & decided to visit the Cross House Inn as my husband had not been before & it is fairly local to us. We hadn't booked & despite being fairly busy, we got a table without any problem. The bar staff warned us that there may be a... More
