This pub has a superb view over the bay. The staff in the main are excellent also. The only exception was the chef. Ordered Steak and Kidney pies (approx. £12.00 each), received Onion gravy, Kidney and Steak pie. When questioning the lack of steak in...More

8 of us rocked up after an exhausting day out on the beach, tired, hungry and needing to sit and relax badly. The Bowgie Inn was a very welcome find. The place is comfortable and child friendly and the food is well cooked mostly homemade,...More

Ordered an egg mayonnaise sandwich on white bread. The egg was hot, obviously just boiled, no mayonnaise or salad cream and no sign of any egg white, only yolk! Very unappetizing and expensive at £5. This place is obviously for the holidaymakers. Service was friendly...More

Very disappointed with the food. The food is clearly microwaved and not freshly prepared. I would not recommend. Couple this with a downgraded food hygiene rating of 2 which is out of 5 and means improvement necessary. One to avoid.

Yes the food is rubbish - it may be piping hot but that is because it has been in a microwave.!

Very poor food - if you read through the reviews there is a trend of poor food. Deep fat fried food is sometimes passable by some but generally the food is poor as is the food hygiene rating of 2 (improvement necessary).
