The view from this Inn is amazing and has a huge outside eating area overlooking the sea. We eat in the bar but the view was just as good. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

Not sure if chef has changed since the rubbish food reviews of some people but I had quiche lorraine and chips which was gorgeous. Nice firm deep quiche that was cheesy, the meat wasn't fatty and onions were cooked so didn't repeat on me! Friend had fish and chips that she loved too. Stunning coast views with proper white sand... More

Our friends had been told to visit the Bowgie so when they came to Newquay we thought it would be a nice treat. There were eight of us, as we had two children we had to sit in the dingy back room. The waiter brought out the food, then took it back as he wasn't sure what it was, then... More

Have eaten here many times, we visit Cornwall at least twice if not three times a year and always visit the Bowgie, the food is great the views are amazing. The prices are on par with other pubs/ restaurants in this area of Cornwall, Newquay, Perranporth, Crantock and Hollywell Bay, the food portions are huge one of my favourites is... More

Very friendly staff give this pub a head start when you go for a drink. Typical pub food and very reasonable prices but the view of Crantock beach and the Gannal river are excellent.

I thought that this would be the ideal place for a family meal - how wrong was I. The place is very tired and dirty. The view is great but don't let that fool you. Our roast dinners were warmed up and clearly microwaved and swimming in water. I expect better from a local Cornish pub. I checked the food... More

Having eaten at the Bowgie a few years ago we decided to revisit. We were disappointed with the lacklustre menu and poorly prepared food. The menu was basic and unimaginative and the meal we had was average at best. The Bowgie has the perfect location to compliment amazing food but disappointingly the food and service does not match the location.

Went to Bowgie inn as we always see the sign on the main road. Quite run down, food was poor a processed cheap stuff, there are some much much better places close by. Tables we dirty, a couple wanted to come in with their dog, but due to the interests of hygiene apparently dogs aren't allowed, very odd for Cornwall,... More

Visited this pub while on holiday and I'm glad we did, it has a great atmosphere and is extremely kid friendly, there is also an adult area if you want a bit of peace. It has about 7 televisions scattered around this high venue and has a pool table. They do food which is standard bar meal stuff but really... More
