Just had the pleasure and enjoyment of viewing the Christmas Lights display in beautiful village of Angarrick near Hayle. Stopped in at the Angarrick Inn for a few cocktails and a meal. The food was excellant and cocktails refreshing/warming after a chilly stroll around the village. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to see that all of our needs were met, considering how busy they were due to a bus load of visitors from the RBL. I would strongly recommend taking the time around Xmas to view the light displays and stopping in the pub for an evening meal and drink. Due to how busy they get around the holidays, reservations at the pub for a table are highly recommended. PS. In my humble opinion, their display is better than that at Mousehole.

We were regular customers here when we lived in walking distance years ago and hearing some good reports of the present landlords we went with a friend for dinner. The beer was good and the menu whilst small was varied with some fish and vegetarian dishes. I chose whitebait starter, which was a decent portion well served, and followed it with the Haloumi Burger which was excellent and accompanied by very good rustic fries. My partner had a cheese and mushroom pasta for main which she found very good with plenty of flavour and our fiend had a nice piece of salmon. The service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The choice of wine was limited but we had a very acceptable bottle of Merlot. All in all an good choice for dinner and we will be going there again soon.

We visited here last September and was somewhere where we wanted to go back to. Pre-booked a table a few weeks prior to arriving, and would highly recommend booking in advance. Lovely, attentive staff. Happy to go out of their way to make adjustments to some dishes on offer. I opted for the spinach, mushroom tikka masala and DH chose the steak and ale pie. Huge portions and both delicious 😋.

Got a last minute reservation at the pub during the last half term week, which was lucky as at 7pm they were full! Be warned the car park is small and road parking difficult but that is the only criticism and good food draws people in..... .....and good food you will get! All 3 of us had the steak pie which at £14 ain't cheap but is certainly one of the best you will ever taste. Accompanied by fresh veg and lovely home made chips it went down a treat. As did the tribute ale. My daughter even managed to squeeze in a chocolate brownie which she loved. All staff were masked and there were partitions between tables so as Covid safe as you can get too. Lovely pub, great food and good service. Couldn't ask for more apart from a bigger car park! Lol

Excellent food, served on piping hot plates, good selection from curries, pasta, pies. Don’t judge the bright lights and dated interior, we were a little hesitant and wondered if we’d made a mistake booking here, we made no mistake the food is so very tasty, great quality and value. The staff are very welcoming and had time to chat, as a tourist it was very nice to be welcomed as the locals are. We ate here twice throughout our week holiday and would definitely go back again on our next trip.

We arrived to be warmly greeted and shown to our table, which was spotless. The food was just about the best pub meal we've eaten. Three of us had surf and turf, steaks cooked and rested exactly as ordered, lovely freshly prepared salad which wasn't just boring green stuff aimed at the plate. The other dish was a very generous portion of liver and onions, which was served with fresh vegetables and creamy mash. This was delicious and she would have it again. Plates were lovely and hot, always reassuring. The staff were very nice and attentive without being over bearing. We will be back as soon as this second lock down is over.

Absolutely amazing food, great service, felt very safe with social distancing and hand sanitizer stations available. Mushroom starter (plenty of mushrooms) delicious. Homemade pies plenty of filling and chips nice and crispy (you can tell it's all freshly cooked) If you want home cooked food with friendly relaxed surroundings you cannot go wrong here.

We pre-booked a table for 5 a week before our holiday based on the fantastic reviews and it didn't disappoint. The food was all home cooked and delicious-my son enjoyed the banana split which amazingly he managed to finish! The locals were warm and friendly and the service was second to none. Every member of staff worked really hard and all had a genuine smile on their face which made you feel very welcome. The pub implemented Covid precautions really well resulting in a very pleasant experience which I hope to enjoy again before we go home.

By far the best roast dinner we’ve ever have (2 weeks running)! Generous helpings of the most tender meats and home grown vegetables of every variety with mouth watering puddings. The Angarrack Inn is absolutely unbeatable, the service is outstanding and the staff are so friendly and fun. The current consideration with regards to Covid 19 was spot on too. You’ve absolutely nailed it, you are the best by a mile.

We booked ahead for Sunday lunch and walked from our accommodation in Hayle. Lovely walk via country roads and little villages. Setting is idyllic and the pub is a very traditional Cornish pub with welcoming staff and owner. We sat outside as weather was lovely and both opted for the beef roast which was served with accompanying fresh veg, Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. All cooked perfectly and piping hot. Good hand pulled ales on offer too. Would recommend to others on holiday or in the area. A hidden gem worth the visit.

We were there early on a Friday evening, had booked 3 days before, as liked the look of the pub and the good food reviews. On arrival there were quite a few empty tables in the pub but we were shown to their apparently fairly new extension and seated at a table there. It was bare, hollow sounding and not at all what we wanted. We'd booked a pub meal, wanted a pub atmosphere, not to be seated in what looked and felt like a canteen. We begrudgingly got moved to a table inside the pub. The food was indeed great, the service was good, but the glass of white wine we ordered was room temperature. Asked for ice later as didn't want to cause further "inconvenience".

We are currently staying in Angarrack so wanted to make use of the local pub. So glad we visited! We have been 3 times during our week stay in Cornwall, twice for food. First of all the staff are so friendly and upbeat. They brought our dog water and food at no extra cost! And nothing was too much trouble. Lovely traditional pub interior, no airs & graces - great atmosphere. They serve food from 5.30, most tables are reserved so I would recommend booking in advance especially on a weekend. I had the halloumi burger & my husband had the beef burger. My daughter had the kids beef burger on one occasion and chicken goujons on the other. We also had the nachos to start - which were the best I’ve ever had! Not soggy, freshly made with the cheese on top and then guacamole, salsa & sour cream on the side in pots so it’s ideal if you don’t like them all you can pick and choose. The chips that came with the meals were also freshly made, not greasy & seasoned to perfection! They were extremely generous with garnish/salad on the side of both meals as well as coleslaw, sauces, relish and onion rings! They were so generous with the halloumi on my main too! 2/3 slices. More than enough on the meals for the price. £47 for 3 meals, starter & a drink each is such good value and I couldn’t believe how nice the food was - this is honestly the best food we’ve ever had! The only downside is that we live so far away to return anytime soon! But we will be back on our next visit to Cornwall :) x x

This is an absolute gem! In a remote place and a really big hill if your walking, but well worth it! Beautiful pub and very attentive staff friendly also. We visited on a Sunday and had a roast dinner, we didn’t feel this was particularly nice and would suggest home made Yorkshire’s and not drowned in gravy maybe place on the side? We felt the vegetables were of poor quality and not particularly in season also. Staff absolutely A plus however food is letting them down at the moment.

We are glad you liked our pub and found our staff friendly. However, sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your roast. All our veg is locally sourced and so obviously definitely seasonal. If you had made us aware of your disappointment at the time, we could have resolved this. That said, we served over 50 lunches that day and received many compliments so perhaps it’s just down to personal taste. Thankyou for your feedback 😊

Staying at Premier inn for a few days but their food is so awful so come here. Not so good as last time. Seafood pasta had very thin sauce and too much of it which was very rich - half the sauce and thicken it up to make it more pleasant. The vegetable sweet chilli stir fry had very crisp vegetables but far to much chilli to be comfortable, making it impossible to eat much. The lasagne was good but where it was warmed up was a little crisp on the edges. Perhaps things are a little better now as that was just after 17th May when we came out of lockdown and it needed a little improvement.

Visited here with my boyfriend whilst on holiday as we were only staying 15 minutes away. Looks like a quaint little pub from the outside, inside looks traditional but the food.. wow! Probably some of the best food we've ever had, it was all amazing. We had the nachos for starter which were incredible. We asked the waiter if he'd recommend them as a sharer, stating we definitely wanted a main and dessert, and he was so helpful. We were glad we took his advise as the portion size was great. For mains we both went for burgers, both 10/10! I had chicken, which can be hit or miss, but this chicken wasn't dry at all, very yummy! I had the strawberry and apple crumble for dessert which was hands down the best crumble I've ever had, and my partner had the toffee sponge, which he also adored. For a starter, two mains, two desserts and 3 pints, our bill came to £60 which we thought was excellent value for the quality of food. The service was excellent too, the staff were very friendly. Shame it's a 4 hour drive from us or we'd definitely be regulars, can't wait to return again and would highly recommend if you're in Cornwall!
