Went with friends (who long ago lived next door) for lunch - sunny day but no tables outside so we ate inside by the window so still had lovely views. You order at the bar but then get table service. We had two small portions of mussels (£6.50), a ploughman's (£9) and risotto (£6.50) and glorious beef dripping chips -... More

After a gorgeous walk we asked for a table inside. The pub was packed, inside and out, on a surprisingly warm spring day. We eventually secured a table in the window and settled into the buzz of conversation and coziness! All the food being presented to other diners looked delicious, we were hungry! After a wait that was starting to... More

After a long walk around the coastal path it was with great anticipation that we entered the Devonport! We were greeted by a pleasant and efficient young man who made us feel very welcome. The menu looked very appetising, which it subsequently proved to be. A wide choice of fish and other more traditional meals were available (children's portions too).... More

Myself, husband, infant and dog needed a lunch break after a morning of exploring the beautiful local areas. We sat outside as the weather was actually ok! I had a ploughmans, my husband had the pasty with chips. These were not your standard ploughmans and pasty! Both meals were delicious! The ploughmans had a variety of cheeses and pate and... More

Definitely worth a visit if you are down this part of Cornwall. Beautiful views to watch as you eat. Delicious food, quick service and friendly staff. We had the ploughman's and small portion of mussels. Recommend the cornish blue cheese. The chutney that accompanied the ploughman's was outstanding. The pate is one of the best I have ever tasted!! Definitely... More

We ate there several times in our weekend stay in Kingsand. Very busy Friday evening, nice relaxing lunch other times. Great to able to take dogs! And that view is unbeatable. Staff very helpful and nothing was to much trouble.

We popped in here on a beautiful day, the sun was out and there was also a roaring log fire. We sat inside for a time as all the seats outside overlooking the sea were full. We ordered a pasty and a pint of local ale £6.50, which for the location was very good. We have been in here many... More

Party of 16 celebrating a 60th birthday - 2 tables of 8 because no single space large enough but that didn't matter. Excellent Food and service enjoyed within a cozy and friendly ambience. Regardless of obvious dining capability this place retains that important proper pub atmosphere. Recommended.
