Just visited here for breakfast....what a lovely place! Lots of things to look on the walls and ceiling, very quirky indeed. Coffee was delicious and the breakfast was very tasty too. Very welcoming and friendly staff. It's a thumbs up from us...well worth a visit 😀

Don't be put off by the weird decor, or the need to work out how to find it by car, that is a work under progress. The food is excellent, the portions very generous, the prices just amazing value. I had a delicious large, heated pitta bread filled with a flavourful salsa and feta cheese accompanied by rocket, tiny plum... More

Called in and was greeted by the new owner, a really friendly guy called Charlie. Ordered a cooked meal which was served by the cook himself, a gent from the Carribean called Vaasti, or similar. Really delicious. I was really impressed and this was good value as well. I think things are settling in for these new folks now.

I was pleased to see that despite the quirky nature of the cafe, the food hygiene rating was the highest possible. The meal we had was delicious and very savoury and I could not resist one of the desserts which was glorious with something of a taste of Caribbean rum about it. A thoroughly enjoyable occasion with attentive staff who... More

Whilst visiting during open studios, we were disappointed to find the Melting Pot has gone downhill since being taken over. Slow service, burnt coffee, poor food - a lot of the charm has gone - sad.

Taking on a café that's been running successfully is a hard thing to do.......our visit to the Melting Pot showed this. It all seemed a bit stressed, which was not helped by rather jarring music that was too loud - and trying to order one drink took ages. I'm hoping that all these issues will get ironed out, as this... More

Have just returned from lunch here. They had open studios on, so it was very busy. Instead of their usual menu they had a limited menu of 4 items - which is understandable. HOWEVER, there were just 4 things on the menu, and by 1.10pm (which is when we arrived), they had run out of 2 items... leaving just soup... More

This adorable cafe is situation inside the old Grammar School in Redruth. When you first enter the Cafe you are bombarded with a plethora of quirky décor. There are picture frames suspended from the ceiling, posters on the wall, flying spoons and forks that look like they are making a pathway to another realm. CD candelabras, sparkly decorated mannequins and... More
