There are soooo many cafes in Bowral that I hope this cafe doesn't get missed because everyone is heading to the perceived more trendy cafes. The new owners have been there for about 4 months and I'm really hoping that they get to have a really good go at making it in town. The food isn't fancy but it is... More

Well if there is something Bowral has plenty of it is cafes, most of which are pretty average. However, if you care to explore a little off (not far)the main street you will find this gem. Great meals and coffee see us returning time after time. So next time you are passing through or come to town for Tulip Time... More

Have enjoyed this café in the past and been very happy , it has recently re opened with new owners. I had an early morning meeting and decided to meet here before hand for breakfast with a friend . A good variety is offered on the menu and in a quite pleasant atmosphere allowing to have a conversation uninterrupted .... More

I stopped at Kookabar cafe in Bowral last week on the way from Sydney to Canberra. Really great coffee! I was surprised to find something as good as this outside of the Sydney CBD. Amazingly smooth and rich blend of beans (didn't notice the brand unfortunately) prepared perfectly for my latte. I highly recommend Kookabar to anyone looking for good... More

I had lunch on their second day after reopening, Chai Latte beautiful, food was gourmet, tempting to try the cakes. The new manager is lucky to have the same chef who cooks food that's well-loved by the locals...nice manager too.

I went to Kookabar with my wife. We had tea and scones and mugs of hot chocolate with marshmallows. It was most pleasant!! Highly recommend!

Called in on our way to Bradman Museum for a great breakfast, fresh juice & coffee. Service was good too. Will definitely make this a regular on our visits to Bowral. It's just off the main street & parking is easy & very convenient. Cafe has been refurbished since we were last there.

This place has been here for many years, and has a lot of regulars so it must be doing something right. The service is good, the staff friendly and they say that they make all their cakes in-house. All I know is that it is a good place to have a cuppa and a cake. Or even a full meal... More

Visited yesterday. Rocked up with our luggage and suit bag straight off the train, and one of the staff unexpectedly and very kindly hung up the suit and our jackets in the coat rack! Not service you get everywhere. The food was good without being flashy, and being a Perthite, it was very, very well priced. In fact, when my... More
