Last night was the ultimate experience in Fine Dining in the Southern Highlands. From the moment we entered Hordern's Dining room till the moment we left everything was totally beautiful. Service, excellent presentation of beautiful gourmet food and perfect quiet music made the evening a total delight. The cost of $85 for 2 course or $95 for three courses was... More

This is a lovely room. Quite, elegant and stylish. With a beautiful view over the garden of Milton Park. I was there for a lunch with a friend when we decided to indulge in some fine dining. I ordered Coquille Saint Jacques - a blast from the past! The scallops were tender but the sauce had almost disappeared and dried... More

We were staying at Milton Park, so it was an easy choice on our first night to eat in versus head out after a long drive. So glad we did as it was fantastic, from service to the food and the wine selection .... Everything was MINT!! Not sure on the price as we billed it to the room and... More

Hordens is the fine dining restaurant of The Milton Park hotel which is a little way out of Bowral. The means of orderting is to take a fixed price meal with some sides to be added. The wine list is sound and very reasonably priced; over the years the house red has been an excellent Tyrrell's Hunter Valley shiraz, which... More

Hordern's is the French style restaurant in the grand Milton Park resort which was once the county home of Anthony Hordern (olde worlde Retail baron). You can dress up for dinner here and not feel silly. The food was generous and with lots of flavour. The culinary highlights were Goats cheese soufflé, the venison and ile flotante dessert. Not inventive,... More

Started off Ok restaurant has a lovely ambience and staff were friendly on arrival. Unfortunately the service was slow and when our mains finally arrived 2 meals were cold and needed to be returned to the kitchen. Overall very disappointing.

We stayed on site for a weekend away. The food was impeccable as was the service. Definitely one of the finer restaurants in the highlands.

Stayed at Milton Park and opted for the Gourmet Package. Whilst the rooms are average...looking tired, the breakfast very average, machine coffee, OJ from a bottle etc.. dinner was exceptional. We had one of the best meals in a long time, even the bread was a hit. The ravioli was really well done and the lamb cooked to perfection, the... More
