We were so excited to return to the Nest, as it has been a while since we visited. What a total disappointment!! The restaurant was out of oysters., at 6pm on a Saturday? So off to a poor start. I have developed a dairy allergy, but was still looking forward to a big lobster with some sides. After we switched... More

The Nest is an hour drive from our home so we don't go there often. We do try to make the trip when they have soft shell crabs. The servers are always friendly and helpful. The food is well prepared and reasonably priced. It is always a pleasant experience and we often wonder why we don't eat there more often.

I traveled from Brownsville, PA to try "The Nest"- and it was great. Our friends had been there before and loved the lobster at this restaurant. We all had a great meal tonight - I had the stuffed shrimp....it was delicious. For dessert, my husband and I shared the almond torte- really, really good! How nice to have such a... More

this place has gone waaaay downhill. I was put off by the musty smell right away. It was faint, but I have a good sense of smell. The mussels that we had as an appetizer were bland and chewy. My seafood platter had a few shreds of lobster, two very small scallops and two large shrimp. The shrimp were well... More

Well.... We were expecting an excellent meal but we were let down. If you want to spend $100+ on dinner, then go to Mount Washington and eat at Monterey Bay. The king crab legs were like rubber. The steak tasted like it was microwaved. I've had better twice bakes potatoes from the freezer. I would say the crab cakes were... More

My wife and I traveled 40 miles to eat here on my birthday. We had seen The Nest several years ago while watching our granddaughter in a parade, and it looked intriguing. Now the same granddaughter was singing at a nearby under-21 club, and we had seen some small Nest billboards on Route 30, so we decided to eat here.... More

We were up in Pittsburgh to visit relatives in June and heard about this little restaurant in Jeannette that was awesome. So we all packed up and headed to The Nest on Clay St. for Mom's birthday dinner. The server was great and the food was awesome, we were pleasantly surprised. We all started with great salads served with cheese bread... More

Had dinner there last night with my wife and friends. We had been there before and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere so we returned and were not disappointed. The food and service were as excellent as I remembered. We had a variety of items between us including my favorite, the 10.5 oz. lobster tail. All our food was fresh... More

The food is the best in western Pa. Consistently great food is why we all go to the nest and have for many years. Great prices and service beyond belief. The Nest is the best!
