My 2 boys and I had lunch here after we went on a dolphin watching cruise. The fish and chips were delicious though a little greasy. The potato scallops were sensational like when I was a kid. Well priced

This place advertises as being the best fish and chip joint in NSW. Well if you get the standard fish and chips which I guess is shark, it really is up there. The batter is light and more importantly it does not have that after taste which makes you wonder how old is the oil? Very fresh, service great, not... More

The whole gang tried many of the products here : from basic fish and chips, perch, dory. We love most of them. We agreed, this place is likely the best fish and chips in the area.

Lunch outside on a warm day. Had grilled fish (snapper) and Greek salad. Snapper was ordinary, maybe a little undercooked. Greek salad came in a plastic container. Very average.

$42.00 for their cheapest platter. We said no and had the fish cocktails and chips plus bottle of water still expensive.should have caught my own fish.

Choose bubs as we have seen it advertised and as we are locals and are trying different places on the weekend we arrived on opening the tables and chairs had been hosed and were wet and left that way so after wiping our tables we ordered lobster mornay with frys and salad. Very small half lobster that so so chewy... More

We had a late lunch here last weekend. Nice location overlooking Nelson Bay. Outdoor undercover seating watching the Pelicans on the Bay. Takeaway food served with tickets and you collect your food. Half a lobster mornay with salad & chips $20, grilled seafood plate $17. Food was nice but nothing special, I was expecting better because of the reviews. Fresh... More

Bub's has tickets on itself as well as for half hour free parking. It claims to be the best in NSW, and, OK, it is pretty good. The service was considerate and obliging. The two battered flathead fillets and chips were above average and the grilled John Dory was real and had an excellent flavour. You serve yourself with condiments... More

After spending $60 on a takeaway, I first got accused of lying and then stealing a tarter sauce!!! I even had to empty the contents of my bag on the counter to prove I did not have it. Seriously! The woman then had a go at me and commented, 'some people' and shouted at me over the counter in front... More
