Just love to come to Avalanche café with the family for morning or afternoon tea when on our annual family snow holiday. The hot chocolates are my favourite. Also its so beautiful siting at the tables in the snow. Have some lovely memories of this quaint little friendly café in the snow mountains.

This season the wait has been longer than normal for some reason. They also ran out of milk early one afternoon which is not what you want to hear when you have waited in a queue for 15 minutes. It used too be good but I will need to hear some good reports before I go back again.

Probably because it's still quiet but it seems to follow trends through all the shops at the moment with a all customer service very friendly and helpful. Pepper pie was excellent. Tasty and good temperature. Price point of food was good and there was a good variety of food and choices for kids.

Loved having lunch at this outdoor cafe on the slope on a fine day. Though the range is limited, the staff were always accommodating and courteous, and service is quick. The soup of the day with bread, and the pies were great. The toilets were clean too.

Very good place to sit down in having just done the 13km return walk to Kosciuszko on a pretty warm day. It was very hot inside and there were actually lots of flies inside too - so that wasn't great. But the location is quite unique and we were happy to sit there for 30 mins or so and look... More

... and deservedly famous. The hot chocolates at the Avalanche are second to none, and are in a beautiful setting at the bottom of the Pretty Valley chair with amazing views, heaps of space to park skis/snowboards, and plenty of seating. Well priced, and has an acceptably wide range of food and drinks on offer (including the beautiful hot chocolates).... More

Positioned at the base of Pretty Valley next to the chair lift . This food hut has the most choice of all the on mountain huts. Has clean toilets.

Drop in and check out the Hot Chocolates from Avalanche at the bottom of the Pretty Valley Chair lift - easily the best on the mountain. Prices are on par with the rest of the on-mountain options for food and drink.

Great hot chocolate. Nice spot to stop for a quick break or longer lunch. Enjoy the music being played on the speakers. The staff are quite pleasant . Easy ride up the double chair when you have finished. Very reasonable prices (by ski standards).
