Like someone already said - if you are in the area of Lake Ariel - mark this place on your "to do list". Hard to say what it stands out for more - the food or the antique store located at the same house, probably...More

Upon walking into Der Jaeger we were warmly greated by the owner/cook and placed at a large comfortable table. The menu is all authentic homemade German cuisine. A smokehouse and outdoor grill on the side of the building adds to the unique flavor of your...More

Hi There- I'd like to give a gift certificate to a retired couple who are moving there. How much will they need to dinner? Is it a BYOB?

It is a byob, but if you ask they may give you a comp beer. I think $75.00 is plenty for a gift certificate. $50.00 is probably enough too. One of the coolest places we ever experienced for dinner. Good luck to your friends... More

Over the weekend my husband and I visited this fantastic German restaurant in the Poconos. It's part antique shop, part BBQ shack, but also has a sit-down restaurant inside with a wider variety of foods, mostly focusing on traditional German cuisine. Everything is homemade and the German hostess/owner (who also cooked some of the food) was very accommodating.
