We were very pleasantly surprised by the great food in this unassuming strip-mall restaurant. Don't go for the ambiance -- it's just one small room with few adornments -- but do go for the food and service which was as good or better than any we've had at other Vietnamese restaurants. No vegetarian egg rolls, which was a disappointment, so... More

If you want to try an excellent new dish rather than getting pho over and over again, try the banh xeo, AKA halfmoon crepe. This may take about 20 minutes to prepare so that the crepe becomes thin and brittle so allow the extra time. It is served on a huge platter filled with sprouts, meat, and shrimp which are... More

Great food, and tons of it. Friendly service in a nondescript strip center. You can get a huge bowl of chicken broth soup with a multitude of add-ins. Had the shrimp and crabmeat. The shrimp were huge. Would try something other than crabmeat next time (it tasted like fish).

The Saigon Cafe is a rare gem in an unexpected environment. A basic looking restaurant in a modest strip center. The food is exceptional, and I have eaten Vietnamese food from San Francisco and Vancouver to NY and Boca Raton. The food was perfect, ample and fairly priced. Would definitely eat there again when near Lancaster.

One of my favorite places for chicken soup, hot tea, and avocado shakes. Be sure to arrive at least an hour before closing; sometimes they'll put the Closed sign up early.

I originally found this place when dating a Vietnamese girl who really knew her food! While the location is nothing to write home about, the quality of the food is stellar. I would also suggest considering them if you are looking for take out. The food that you get for the price makes it a great deal!

I've eaten here several times and always enjoy the food. It's best to know what you want going in the door because you're not going to get much of an explanation from the waitress and what you do hear will be very hard to understand if you only speak English. That said I still like going here to eat.

It has been many years since I ate at Saigon Cafe. We happened to be in this part of Lancaster during the lunch time, so we decided to eat good Vietnamese food. We ordered Chả Giò (Egg Rolls), Bánh Xèo (Halfmoon Crepe), Mì Xào Dòn (Crispy Egg Noodle with Shrimp and Beef) and Bún (Vermicelli with Grilled Pork and Shrimp).... More

I guess you must really know what you want here. I will definitely say this is not dumbed down food for Americans. We had a good meal. No complaints. I know I will order something else next time. If you know what you want I am betting this is even better.
