Outside patio dining this evening. Service was superb. Smaller plate options were a nice surprise. The soft tacos and corn chowder were outstanding. Everything local and very fresh. Menu changes frequently, but these 2 items are staples here. Understandably so!

JJJ's is an excellent restaurant, with a good bar scene, inside the Lancaster Arts Hotel. It prides itself on serving very fresh, local produce and meats, and the menu can be quite innovative. As a person who lives in Lancaster, this is one of my...More

This is a special restaurant with good staff where some of our dishes were amazing and some good but not great. For example the corn bisque was the best I've ever had and the tomatoes with mozzarella were delicious but my duck entree -leg confit...More

Excellent food and service. Nice atmosphere. Easy and ample parking on site. They use mostly local foods, so everything is very fresh. The chef is very good and creative, so the meals are wonderful, as well as the desserts. This is probably the best restaurant...More

We happened to find ourselves in Lancaster for a soccer tournament and were fortunate to eat at this restaurant. It was a bit hard to find as we didn't know that it was in a hotel but people walking by pointed it out to us....More

This place is definitely on the fancier side but it is nothing special. The steak I got was on the chewy side. Had a few small plates that were pretty good. However, for the prices its not worth it.

I got the salmon and it was a beautiful piece of seafood! The flavors were to die for, or so to speak. My husband got the sirloin cooked medium and it was the most delicious piece of meat he's had all year...and it's July! Please...More

There is no children's menu. This is, as the previous response noted, an adult restaurant. I don't recall seeing children there.

I can't honestly answer that, as we ended up dining at the bar, rather taken with the supremely gracious and entertaining bartender. The actual dining room is deeper within the restaurant. I do recall points of light among... More

I believe there is a vegetarian meal on the menu, I'm sure if you called ahead and asked what vegan options there were - they would accommodate.

During renovations, workers found in the floor beams a signed inspection stamp--November 5, 1890--with the name of tobacco inspector John J. Jeffries. We named the restaurant after him.

We’ve designed our menu based on local, seasonal, sustainable and organic agriculture and delicious recipes. Please join us and taste the difference of local farm-to-table sustainable cuisine in one of Lancaster's best fine dining restaurants.
As the Chefs and Owners of John J Jeffries, we believe you will find our passion for supporting local businesses and preserving the land we live on, to be contagiously obvious in how we run our restaurant.
All of our meats are raised locally, confinement-free on fresh green grass pastures. No hormones, antibiotics, steroids or forced-fertilization occurs.

Our produce is local organic or chemical free. We use local grass fed cream, butter and eggs.

We also provide sustainable seafood and support sustainable fisheries.
