Our group had a marvelous dinner with good wine, knowledgeable & delightful servers. What more could you want...but for me, it was one of the best ever to finally have practically the entire menu to choose gluten-free. Every soup is made without wheat. How refreshing...More

As the out-of-town guest, I was treated to dinner by dear friends who are regulars. They weren't kidding when they said how fresh and tasty the dishes are. Sergio took good care of us, and we all left with smiling faces and full bellies. Strong...More

The chef was accommodating to adding a protein to my salad that wasn't otherwise offered. Excellent wine choices, and knowledgeable staff.

Very nice place to dine. The menu ever changing with locally sourced ingredients. I grew up eating venison but never had it prepared like JJJ’s. Very friendly staff.

When this place first opened up it had work to do. Portions were small and price point was high. They listened! Over the years this place has turned into a "go to" place for happy hour and/or dinner. Great location, great ambiance, and really great...More

There is no children's menu. This is, as the previous response noted, an adult restaurant. I don't recall seeing children there.

I can't honestly answer that, as we ended up dining at the bar, rather taken with the supremely gracious and entertaining bartender. The actual dining room is deeper within the restaurant. I do recall points of light among... More

I believe there is a vegetarian meal on the menu, I'm sure if you called ahead and asked what vegan options there were - they would accommodate.

Description
During renovations, workers found in the floor beams a signed inspection stamp--November 5, 1890--with the name of tobacco inspector John J. Jeffries. We named the restaurant after him.

We’ve designed our menu based on local, seasonal, sustainable and organic agriculture and delicious recipes. Please join us and taste the difference of local farm-to-table sustainable cuisine in one of Lancaster's best fine dining restaurants.
As the Chefs and Owners of John J Jeffries, we believe you will find our passion for supporting local businesses and preserving the land we live on, to be contagiously obvious in how we run our restaurant.
All of our meats are raised locally, confinement-free on fresh green grass pastures. No hormones, antibiotics, steroids or forced-fertilization occurs.

Our produce is local organic or chemical free. We use local grass fed cream, butter and eggs.

We also provide sustainable seafood and support sustainable fisheries.
