A massive thanks to the Percy Arms for a fantastic birthday meal today! We were a huge party - with children and dogs - and the Percy Arms' team did everything possible to accommodate us, from finding extra tables, high chairs, to putting candles in our birthday cake! The service was attentive and warm and the food was stunning. Thank... More

Just spent two nights here. Stayed in room 5, very comfortable, and it's exactly as shown in the pictures on the website. We had dinner in the pub/restaurant on the first evening which was really tasty and a little bit different from usual menus. Staff are friendly and helpful and I happily recommend this b&b.

Went on the Saturday over Easter, I had the prawn and crayfish starter followed by a full rack of ribs. Could not fault the service or the food. Really nice relaxing ambience and attentive but not overdone service. Ribs were the best I have had in the UK. Will be back just don't know when.

This is a favourite of our especially if you fancy a meat feast. The South African sharing platter is a must and the fillet steaks are amazing... you will never leave this place feeling hungry. Great little restaurant well worth the travel to go for dinner.

Visited with wife on easter Monday and had very contrasting experiences Boerwors and chakalaka starter followed by traditional South African Bobotie that my wife chose (£6/£13) were both full of flavour and good value. (Though the rice and popadum with the Bobotie were straight out of a supermarket packet) Boar terrine followed by King clip (£7/£15) that I chose were... More

Lovely meals - the fish was excellent and beautifully presented and the puddings delicious. Portions are a little on the small side. However, if you are a vegetarian it's not great. The website says "VEGETARIAN DISHES TO TEMPT EVEN THE MOST FAITHFUL CARNIVORE". Well, there is a mushroom burger which one of our party had, and said was lovely, but... More

My family and I ate here at lunchtime one weekend. The menu is unusual which I like - it is nice that somewhere in Surrey is offering something different. I had Kingklip and I can thoroughly recommend it. The service was good...a little slow to clean plates (we had to ask) but very friendly staff (and that is hard to... More

After a very successful shopping spree at Serendipity in Chilworth we popped in to the pub and were very pleasantly surprised by the excellent set menu and good service.

This is a really good place to eat if you are a meat fan. Well serviced and good layout in the pub. Had lunch there today in the garden which is always a pleasure on a good sunny day. Prices reasonable and portions are good. Had a good soft burger and previously a lovely steak. We come back several times... More
