Just enjoyed a fun and delicious lunch at La Porta. Ok, while we girls made the fun, Austin, our server, bumped it up a notch. Then, his "partner in crime", Matt, joined in. Great guys, great food, great place!

We ordered the chicken special and when we cut into it, the center of the breast was pink and undercooked. The server took it back to the kitchen and all within ear shot, the chef said it's pink because of the bone - well -- there's no bone in the center of the breast piece. The server proceeded to bring... More
Our soup special was spectacular! Crabmeat, clam, cream. How can you go wrong. Really good. I had the penne pasta, shrimp, grappa. It was very good. I would definitely get the app and entre again. My husband had the filet special and asked for, medium and it was rare, cool ,red in the middle. He didn't complain and ate around the... More
We've been to La Porta a few times, and I know it's for real. For me, one huge thing is the gluten-free friendly approach by the kitchen. The Boss has celiac disease, and dining out can be a challenge. Not here. It's covered. A second huge plus is the quality of the pizza. This isn't a pizzeria, but you'll be... More
Don't be fooled by the 'outside' this is a lovely 'Italian' style restaurant - plus it has a nice bar area if you are lucky to arrive early and eat at the bar. Or stop by after dinner for an 'after dinner' drink and enjoy the entertainment on the weekends. And the food is amazing - something for everyone -... More
Don't be fooled by the outside, as this restaurant doesn't look like much from the road. But once you order and get your food, you will be in heaven. The mushroom soup is a bowl of wonderful, with large chunks of mushrooms and pieces of porcetta in a not-too-creamy base. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was yummy. I... More
Stopped in early on a Saturday without reservations. We were in the area and I had vague recollections of the cozy tavern that used to occupy this site. Tavern/wine bar---who cares after hiking in the rain? All tables were reserved (although not yet occupied) so we were referred to the bar, where we could sit at a table whose reserver... More
We dined here with friends recently. It was our first visit and we were more than pleased. The bread and dipping oil were excellent and all of our entrees were very good. The service was very good as well. We also enjoyed the cozy atmosphere especially since we were seated by the lit fireplace. We will definitely make return trips... More
I have been here twice for dinner. Both times the food was very good and the service was on the money. The wine is a bit pricey for the offerings, I feel. We have to drive twenty minuted to get to this place, and we will do it again. We have a well known Italian in our neighborhood, but frankly... More
Today my husband and I had lunch here (one of my husband's favorite places especially for pizza) ... he was 'jonesing' for a great pizza) ... as usual the service was great ... (thank you Joe) ... and both our pizzas were delicious. I had GF 1/2 Malfetti & 1/2 Salsiccia (now is my new favorite!) and hubby had a... More
