Let me start by saying the food and the service were great. What bothers me is if you're going to be a high end restaurant and charge high end prices at least have a dress code. My wife and I were very dissapointed as we...paid well over 200.00 for dinner which didn't bother us, what did bother us was watching people dressed like they were going to McDonald's. What a dissapointment. We will try Mortons next time.More

Celebrated 2 years married with my husband and my sister’s 24th birthday. Reserved a table of 4 for 4pm on a Saturday evening about a month in advance and told them it was our anniversary in the request section. We arrived 20 minutes early and...they weren’t ready for us yet, so we relaxed outside and took some pics. They took us in at 4pm on the dot, seated us and our waitress was with us immediately. Very dimly lit inside with little lamps on table, which set a nice romantic tone. Our waitress was professional, friendly, polite, and overall super nice and on top of everything and never hesitated to offer her help. She got us a fresh, warm basket of breads promptly and took our food orders after bringing our drinks (Beware of the black tie margarita, the black salt easy discolors fabric and skin, though it tastes good). We started off with calamari and crab lobster cakes. Calamari crispy yet tender and delicious, the peppers were the perfect addition with them. The crab cakes were probably the best I’ve tasted yet. Lobster bisque was great, husband enjoyed the clam chowder. I chose the Chilean sea bass for my main course, first time trying it. So unique from other fish I’ve had, so unbelievably tender and delicious, it’s making me hungry again typing this out, it was amazing. Also added an order of Parmesan truffle fries because I can’t resist them any place I go, they were perfect and came in a very large portion to share with everyone. Others at the table had the filet mignon Oscar, they said it was delicious and some of the best steak they’ve ever had. They brought out complementary desserts that featured coffee cake and cheesecake for both my sister for her birthday, and my husband and I for our anniversary. Everybody fought over the cheesecake, and I personally thought the coffee cake was super rich and decadent. It was highly appreciated. For the 4 of us, drinks, soup, appetizers, main course and tip, the bill totaled over $550. We felt it was well worth it and would absolutely recommend The Capital Grille to anyone wanting a perfect, romantic, delicious meal.More

Coming from out of town I don’t think we realized how high class the restaurant was! The food was amazing! I definitely would have dressed up more I felt a little out of place with jeans on. I had a tuna tar tar and it...was amazing! Recommend, but it is a little pricey. Great for a anniversary!!! They also gave me a rose!More

We had the chance to visit the Capital Grille in Pittsburgh recently and glad that we were able to pay a visit during our sixth year anniversary. During the weekend, it seemed extremely busy, but we were quickly seated. Our server Horacio went above and...beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of and everyone else was quite friendly as well. We ordered french onion and clam chowder soups, seabass, tenderloin with lobster tails, mushrooms, half portions of truffle fries/mashed potatoes, and finally we received a complimentary dessert for our celebration. We were more than satisfied with so much food that we had to take it home, and certainly will enjoy. I would recommend this location and that you make reservations in advance.More

Had a great meal here with family & friends. Food was perfect and service was outstanding. I recommend a reservation on the weekends as it was quite busy on Daturday night.

We ordered Stoli Doli’s before dinner. My 1st time. It was very refreshing and had a nice mix of Vodka and pineapple juice. The waiter brought a nice variety of fresh bakery style breads. They were all very tasty. I ordered the Dry Aged New...York Strip which came with mashed potatoes and green beans. Steak was mouth watering along with the sides. I had a double chocolate cake for dessert which was also good. Great value for $35.More

I first visited this place during restaurant week last year. The place is upscale and caters to businessmen during the lunch hour. Although steaks are their primary focus they do have other options as well. On my most recent visit I had the crab cake...with a side of cheesy fries. In addition I had a cup of French Onion soup. Everything was very good. Crab cake was moist and full of flavor. Service was exceptional! All over the restaurant are painting of Pittsburgh notables. Private dining is also available. This is my go to place whenever I want to enjoy a good meal for a special occasion with family and friends downtown. Definitely looking forward to my return here soon for next restaurant week options.More

It came recommended as a steak house. Well, the title says it, every meal is huge, but the quality was not up to my expectations. There are better steak houses nearby, surely more expensive, but good.

Spectacular. Worth every penny. We are not Thanksgiving fans so we are grateful the regular menu was available. Great service.
