One of the best in the ‘Burgh. Outstanding service, food and drink quality. As part of the huge Darden hospitality group, the Pittsburgh location in the Union Trust building evokes the best of high end dining. Sophisticated atmosphere and live music makes a visit and...experience.More

This is a very nice restaurant. Fancy interior and waitstaff all in white tops and black trousers. A very nice atmosphere. In the lounge a jazz quartet played making the soundtrack for dining very nice. We shared a bottle of Daou Cabernet Sauvignon. A very...nice wine from Paso Robles California. They brought some bread and butter which was good. We share the calamari appetizer and this is fantastic. For main courses we had the Parmesan Sole. A large serving of fish that was very tasty. We shared a side of sautéed spinach. It was my birthday and they gave me a free dessert. Bananas Foster, very good.More

This might be our fault by ordering steaks vs seafood. But might be one of the worst steaks I’ve ever had in my life. My husband and I both got the ribeye and both were over cooked and almost inedible. The drinks and service were...great. We also got the 1/2 lb of crab legs that tasted like they were cooked days ago. The Mac n cheese was very tasty but cold and almost soupy. So disappointing.More

Wanted steaks and seafood. Was with my wife and daughter. Food and service was great. Awesome atmosphere. Our waiter Ryan was great. Was very attentive but not obtrusive. We all ordered the wedge and my daughter and I ordered filets and my wife ordered the...branzino. The sides are sharable and we had the asparagus and the brusssel sprouts. Save room for dessert and order the lava cake with vanilla ice cream!! Wine list was good but heavily marked up. We ordered the Orin Swift Palermo and it paired perfectly.More

On a recent trip to Pittsburgh, we ate two nights in a row at Eddie V's. Both nights did not disappoint. Huge selection of seafood, steaks, etc. Great atmosphere. Be sure to have reservations and try a high top in the lounge for lively music...on the weekends. And be sure to ask for Morgann...great server and very attentive, with great menu suggestions.More

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. This was our second time eating here. The restaurant was busy (Friday evening around 8 pm), but there were no delays or gaps in service. They had live music which was nice. If you are looking for a quiet...dinner, this may not be always be the place. The restaurant is close to the William Penn Hotel, but is in walking distance to most other hotels downtown.More

We were visiting family who reside near Pittsburgh and were surprised when they said we were to dine downtown. Eddie V's proved to be an outstanding dining experience. We were seated in a small section slightly off the main dining room which gave us privacy...and relative quiet to converse. Our server, Braden, was, arguably the most professional staff member I can recall encountering anywhere in the world. He was attentive and extremely helpful; never intrusive. The food and drink were memorable. A post-visit discussion could not create a "ranked" list of what was best; among our favorates, the Mediterranean Branzino (sea bass) prepared with artichokes, dried tomatoes and an olive tapinade; the parmesan sole, the 12 oz filet, all delicious and generously portioned. Do not ignore the sides: among our choices--the asparagus, the crab fried rice and lobster mashed potatoes. Starters included a very nice salad, lobster bisque and a "tower" of oysters. The desserts were tempting, but only the pecan icecream made sense as we contemplated the rest of the evening. The mean was not inexpensive; but you can pay a lot at many a restaurant and not receive the quality of food and service that we experienced in the Pittsburgh Eddie V's. (I had not encountered this network of restaurants before, but have noted other locations to keep in mind on future travels. Alas, they are not in Seattle.)More

Visited on a Friday night. It was packed. Reservation is highly recommended. We were able to get in at a high top in the lounge. There was live music. Food was awesome as always at all of Eddie’s locations. Highlight our our visit was Morgann,...our server. She was excellent! On the ball, professional and friendly. Recommend!More
