This is in the Strip District. The chicken is so unique. It is rotisserie style but with special Peruvian spices and cooked slow in a brick oven that came all the way from Peru. This not a large restaurant. We went on a Sunday for lunch and were seated almost instantly. On weekends only, they do some special dishes such... More

Such a nice surprise. The cool little restaurant offers great food at a great price. We loved the Peruvian chicken. Amazing. The homemade green chili sauce was a great compliment. I especially enjoyed the fried plantains. Yummy.

The chicken at Chicken Latino is nothing short of amazing. Every time I am in Pittsburgh I go there and get a whole chicken, a quart of rice, and a quart of beans. The rice not only smells wonderful, but it tastes even better. The black beans are the best I have ever had. They are the right consistency and... More

I took my family here after I came home from an extended trip to Peru. The pollo a la brasa and the fries were excellent! Peruvians know how to make chicken taste excellent. The chicha morada and the mango smoothie were both great, fruity drinks that reminded me of Peru! Would definitely recommend!

While I used to eat here a couple times a week...moving further away has sadly diminished my frequency. The food is excellent! One of the only places in Pittsburgh to get good plantains! And the women who own/run this place are the sweetest!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The chicken quesadilla was delicious and it was stuffed! It was definitely filling. The sweet fried plantains were perfect! I am so glad we walked down this side street away from the Strip to find this restaurant. Very good service too!

Chicken was dry and tasted liked it came from a grocery store for double the cost. Black beans and sweet plantains were good. Service was prompt and good. Disappointed!

Found chicken latino open on a quiet Monday. Musty smells aside, the food and service were good. Great recommendations brought yummy chicken and veggie quesadillas and prompt drink refills. Strange to find no coffee available, but various area shops provided ample options. If you're a foodie- keep shopping options- but it was a solid Peruvian find in a pinch.

Been coming here on occasion for a couple of years now. The place never disappoints. The meats are always succulent. This review was prompted by a Beef Quesadilla we had yesterday which must have weighed close to 2 lbs...stuffed to the gills and oh so delicious. And like Sean K mentioned, the green sauce is amazing. If you are planning... More
