Have gone here for years and just love the food. Not always the greatest service but the food is worth it. The kormas are all good, great variety of Naan (mint is my fav ), panek paneer is incredible, garden raita helps cool down any spicy dishes nicely and love to end with mango pudding. The buffet is nice, but... More

We had the lunch buffet, which was fresh and delicious. They also have an extensive a la carte menu but, I'd really recommend the lunch buffet. You know the Indian food is good when you see a lot of Indian people eating there! Highly recommend!

Visited for about the fourth time in three months. Three vegetarians among five of us and all of us raved about the quality and variety. Table delivery of fresh naan was an extra special surprise. For 8.99 per person at lunch, their buffet has better variety, very good quality and is better stocked than other Indian buffets I have had... More

Went there for their lunch buffet. We were very pleased. Food was very tasty and there was lots of variety. My favorites were the chili chicken, cauliflower and peas, curry chicken and a few others whose names I can't remember. Great lunch buffet under $10. Only drawback is location. We call it McKnightmare Rd. Lots of traffic. Other than that... More

Every so often my body asks for vegetables. I usually get some good Chinese food but the Taj Mahal Indian restaurant on McKnight Road, North Hills, Pittsburgh has a very good lunch buffet weekdays that allows that urge for veggies to be met with another cuisine. This menu includes, na bread, slad, rice pudding and other sweets, but the better... More

I understand that sometimes you want a large selection of food and don't care about the quality - that's exactly what you get here. I am shocked at all the good reviews. Everything was sub-par and did not taste authentic. Had they focused on a few dishes done well, it would have been much more enjoyable. Yet, the place was... More

We frequently eat at the Taj Mahal and do take out. The food is consistently fresh and very tasty, with friendly efficient service. Weekend evenings can get a little crowded, so its a good idea to get there early. The variety on the menu is awesome- from South Indian specialties to North Indian specialties- the food is authentic. We have... More

My wife and I drove across town to try it since the reviews seemed to suggest a great meal was awaiting our arrival. I can say that we were overly impressed with the buffet freshness. Variety and price. We also ordered off the menu our favorite dish gobi manchurian. Everything was delicious and total bill was under what we were... More
