They don't take reservations and the long line was definitely a minus, and it was painful to see one big table for 6 empty, while people from the line were picked based on the size of the group, all for them between 2 and 4....More
I went on a Thursday evening. It is only open in evenings. It is entirely BYOB, though they provide glasses and ice for a charge. The sushi seemed expensive, at about $3.25 per piece, but it was very good. Rolls are about $4.50 per roll....More
Meal: I had the most delicious chilled soba, tempura, sushi (Alaska Roll) and salmon sashimi. The soba was chilled and the sauce was amazing. The staff was very willing to educate on proper technique of traditional foods such as soba and sushi. I noticed that...More

Their sushi was pretty good and the service was decent, but the room was way too warm for my liking.
Easy-going atmosphere. Unfussy, traditional cooking, dishes range from sashimi to noddles. Efficient service. Their Shojou Roll (Red Devil Roll) is amazing! Save space for a must have appetizer Motoyaki (giant clam cooked on the shell in front of you!) or beef negimaki!
You want good sushi that doesn't cost an arm & leg? This is the place! They are ONLY open Monday-Saturday 5pm-9:30pm & they get BUSY! All the sushi is great! My favorite is the Squirrel Hill Roll & I add sprouts.
