Stopped in on Saturday for lunch with my girlfriend around 2pm. It was my first time visiting and she had recommended it based on a couple things - the interior is beautiful and the menu has interesting combinations, which seem to be enticing upon glancing...More

First visit to Pittsburgh and enjoyed our Lunch at the Commoner. Great decor and the food was excellent. If on vacation suggest you arrive well before Noon during the week since they fill up quickly with business folks.

Decided to eat here prior to a Pens game with husband, son and his fiancé. Cocktail menu is good but needs a little clearer explanation and food menu is limited based on what is in season (which I like). Our server was prompt and took...More

Food was great (quiche and overnight oats). Service was slow due to not enough servers. Ours was running around the whole place and we felt bad for her because she was good but just had too many tables.

Great food, great service! Located in the Kimpton, right downtown, close to shops. Went for brunch, great choice!

Although I enjoyed the food service was too slow and that courteous. I had a couple of issues and were not properly addressed by the waiters I reached out. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone but if go you might not hate it either.

Disappointing! We stopped in for Brunch and a Bloody Mary at the Commoner in Downtown Pittsburgh. A city well known for its Ethnic Restaurants and 'Steel Town' caracter. The Commoner is a downstairs restaurant / bar that makes you feel comfortable walking threw the door....More

Stopped in for drinks and apps before a Penguins game. Industrial-hip decor, but comfortable. Prompt, friendly service. Great craft cocktails (the vodka and emotions was delicious). We had the flatbread, cauliflower. and burger off the bar menu. Each was tasty with the flatbread being a...More

I don't think they accept reservations for the bar, and they do get busy after work.

At our gastropub, we don’t distinguish between commoners and kings; we just want to feed the good people of Pittsburgh. In the restaurant and at our grab-and-go carvery window, seasonal menus add a modern flair to classic comforts, complemented by a robust selection of local beers and craft spirits. It’s all served in an industrial-inspired setting in downtown Pittsburgh. Come and join us for an uncommonly good time.
