Went for a business lunch. Got a chicken caesar salad and got 2 packets of Paul Newman's dressing. I can get that at McDonalds. Sandwiches my guests had looked good though. The place was completely dead. Not more than a few tables of people and this was right at lunchtime which should be very busy. The dining room is very... More

I recently visited this restaurant after about a thirty years absence. I moved from this area in the early 1980's and returned for a very quick one day visit. It is a very good place to eat. The pizza was like how I remembered it so many years ago. The inside of the restaurant needs a little more lighting. I... More

Terrible Pizza, 1st bite reminded me of Nardones Pizza, Which I love but if I wanted Nardones I would have gone to Price Chopper. Ordered 2 pies ( 1 to go ) and Tender dinner.... Told the waitress to Cancel the To Go Pizza and left most of the other there. When my one son ( Twins ) says the... More

My sister and I grew up in Pittson, PA. We have enjoyed Savo's Pizza ever since Mike Savokinas opened his first pizzeria on South Main Street in 1964. We both live in the Carolinas, so really authentic Italian pizza is a rarity. We visit Pittston yearly and always eat there and bring trays of unbaked pizza back home. Recently, we... More

We went to Savo's for dinner and the atmosphere was nice. Fairly quiet, great choices, prices were more than expected but not out of control.

Tonight was our final visit to Savo's Pizza. We have been going for close to 50 years, but sadly enough, this place is no longer Savo's now that the new owners took over. I looked forward to the delicious pizza with the sweet sauce and the lightly baked crust. Last month the sauce was terrible and at 6:15 PM on... More

We heard Savo's has a new owner so we figured we would check it out. When we got there, we noticed it is being updated.Lo and behold, the new owner is the former chef from the Grill At Highlands,in Archbald Pa! Wow,what a great surprise! As of now he is not offering the upscale cuisine he had a The Grill. But needless to... More

We were passing through the area and went here for pizza. I'm not sure what they served us, but it wasn't pizza. The crust was unconventional, but not bad - a rectangle of lighter-than-Sicilian crust. Ours had gobs of sauce, which might have been good, but I couldn't get past the American processed cheese that was used. Rubbery, mealy, chemical-tasting... More

The rectangular pizza is very popular with kids (no onions) and is best when eaten in the restaurant as the bottom crust stays crispy. Has good chicken wing hoagie called sloppy melvin and great fries. They are open 7 days a week and they deliver.

Pizza is good however i had a tuna wrap from here and it was so bad i had to throw it out. I also had chicken parm from here, the chicken was generic chicken strips. I would not order anything other than pizza from here.
