In State College and want deli, this is the place to go. The soup was ok, not great, just ok. The sandwiches were good. Took 1/2 home. Price point was good. Our service was excellent. Next time back in State College, will go back.

Really good comfort food! I had the baked potato soup and a sandwich. The beer list will not disappoint. Out server offered us several tastings. Worth the stop.

My daughter and I dined here recently on a Sunday afternoon. The place was pretty empty, so that wasn't a good sign to start with. The TV football game sound was blaring and it was hard to have a conversation over the excessive noise. The menu has lots and lots of options and I wondered how a small place could... More

I went with my family. We LIKED it. Didn't LOVE it. The egg blt was ok. The Thai chicken salad was good. The pesto chicken mac and cheese was very good. The appetizer was very small - buffalo cheese dip and the pita bread was stale. The service was good. Would only go back if no other options.

We live locally and like to come to the deli for dinner and/or drinks when we're in State College. The food is consistently good - recommend the mushroom sandwich, baked potato soup, and Pittsburgh prima sandwich. Service is good, but not necessarily fast. Good happy hour and daily drink soecials, plus a solid rotating draft list. Reasonable prices.

We stopped in to meet some friends for some late-night food and drinks. Their food menu had lots and lots of choices - definitely a little something for everyone - and very filling portions. (We shared an order of nachos, and I ordered the buffalo chicken cheesesteak; both were delicious.) Just a heads up - our waitress mentioned that they... More

I have yet to visit a Dantes establishment that has efficient and friendly service that accompanied good food. JP mills, the owner is a poor business man and does not invest in his establishment of the state college community.

My husband and I stopped in State College during our travels and The Deli was recommended to us by the Hampton Inn. It was a great choice during a warm day. I had the warm goat cheese salad - the mandarin oranges added a little kick and the sugared walnuts were perfect. Warm goat cheese was spread on toast triangles.... More

just a 1st time visit and as i noted extensive drink selection, esp. beers. Impressive! But I wouldn't go back there to eat based on my Penne Vodka pasta dish. Not enough sauce or cheese. unappealing plate presentation ( goes double for listless caeser salad that came with meal). The bread served was a store bought white flour bun.

It was a hot day and the A/C must not have been working. The room we were in was very warm. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said she knew but it never improved. Food and service were average.

Thank Jen F
