Found this place in a Pocono tourist booklet. We decided to take a ride there and check it out. Can't miss this place going north on 611, on the left side. Great Atmosphere inside , big place with different rooms and outside area too if...weather provides. Very comfortable and Cozy. Limited time specials were $24.99. I had a 1.2 lb whole Lobster, salad and fried potato chips. Love this place. They have rewards with them...with your phone number. We have been there twice. Wonderful Service!More

Very good steak. Very juicy and tender. Not the best steak house by no means but it's the better of the lot in the area. Would visit again and yeah the servers are tired and unfriendly but we didn't care we were hungry. Prices are...ok, could be more reasonable but its Covid businesses are struggling.More

Hungry and not wanting to travel too far from our hotel, we stopped in Smugglers Cove. We were pleasantly surprised by their menu and specials (two dozen clams for $14.99). The portions were generous and the food was delicious. We enjoyed it so much we...went back the next day.More

We have had several good meals here, and we were expecting the same this week. I believe that we either got a server on her very first night, or something was going on with all of the servers. We had a reservation, we were seated...right away, we waited 10 minutes for our server to come over, she brought our drinks, she didn't know anything about the specials, the kind of fish in the fish and chips, what kind of dressing came with a salad, and didn't tell us that the crab bowl consisted of crabs that were still in the shell. There is just no reason that we were not told that when it was ordered, cause that takes all the fun out of eating the crab bowl. Anyway, our orders were placed and then we sat for over 45 minutes just waiting for her. No bread, no refill of drinks, just sitting and looking at each other. The biggest complaint I would have is that we have eaten the raw clams there so many times, and this time they were sandy, gritty, and had no taste. We told her, and she did nothing. Not asked for a manager to come over, not offered to get something else, not anything. I don't know why our visits are so "hit or miss" every time, but after spending almost $200 for 4 people, we won't be back. There was another server who kept walking by our table, and she obviously knew that we had been sitting there for such a long time with no drinks and no bread, and she also made believe we weren't sitting there. I don't know what is up with that.More

We are now locals but have been going to Smugglers for a long long time. The nasty server was in the past the bartender (no bar now due to Covid). No silverware, no napkin, no bread - but I wasn't in a rush so no...big deal. Food was just OK but skip it. Bill came, the clearly priced "Buck a Shuck" ordered were priced at $1.50 each on the bill. When questioned Nasty bartender now waitress very rudely said "the menu says they are $1.50 each. my companion got up got the menu and No, they are $1 each. When he asked to correct the bill the other miserable nasty old man bartender Joe had a hissy fit and tore the Buck a Shuck sign off the display case and stamped his feet to the garbage can and threw it out....giving us both the evil eye, while the nasty female bartender now waitress walked defiantly to the manager. The manager came over and said we were absolutely correct and that the server was wrong. Old man miserable bartender Joe and rude nasty female bartender/now waitress stared at us until we left the table. We told the manager about their threatening behavior and she told us she would "talk" to them~! No sorry's, no concessions, and therefore NO TIP. The atmosphere sucked, the food sub-par and the servers are rude and act like they are doing you a favor. Better places to eat. never going back.More

We went for out grandfather's birthday. The waiter was rude and outright told us he didn't want to be there. The food took a while to come out, which the manager personally apologized for and offered free dessert. The food was okay. Those who got...oysters really enjoyed them while everyone else didn't seem as impressed. We realized after we finished that my mom never received one of her sides after the waiter said he dropped it on the floor and was having another order made. Since we were done eating we didn't mention it. For the price we expected better.More

We love finding stand alone restaurants rather than national chains. Smuggler’s Cove was a great find! The food was great and at a reasonable price. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The staff was doing a great job to keep the dining room clean...and patrons spread out for Covid restrictions.More

We were in the mood for seafood and this place came up in most of our searches for the area. We both tried the broiled seafood platter. It came with shrimp, clams, scallops, flounder and choice of lobster tail or snow crabs. Comes with a...salad and choice of side for only $29.99. Back on Long Island this would cost over $40 so I wasn't sure what to expect. The scallops were good but if you are looking for a nice seared scallop you will not get that from broiling. The lobster was good as well. A decent size for the price. I thought the flounder was ok. The shrimp were under cooked. They were almost translucent. Almost all of the clams came out closed or almost closed as you can see from the photo. I am not sure how a cook, expediter and or server would bring out a plate with closed clams on it. The reason for the average rating was because some of the meal was ok and some bad. I hate to say that we may have had a better experience at Red Lobster.More

This is a large restaurant now offering service inside and outside. Our server was friendly (but do keep that mask up over your nose please!) and helpful. My sea scallops were excellent and my husband enjoyed his fisherman's platter. Our vegetables were very good and...I would only suggest that the brussel sprouts would benefit from better trimming. We very much enjoyed our meal.More

Loved every morsel of mt lobster tail. It was cooked to perfection. The two sides I choose were wedge salad with blue cheese and a loaded baked potato. The dressing was some of the best I ever had. The first baked was cold and hard,I...asked for it to be heated and she brought me one straight from the oven that was delicious. My husband had 12 oz prime rib it was very good too.More
