Great dinner prior to nearby Dionne Warwick concert. Michael, our waiter, was attentive throughout. Wine selection was more than adequate. Oysters Rockefeller were excellent. For main course, we chose the filet meatballs with their signature red sauce - "gravy" , which was excellent, served with Ricotta and sprinkled with fresh Parmesan. Overall, fun and delicious.

Beautiful location and setting. Ala carte menu. Most dinner items are $25-$30. They come with potatoes and vegetables. Meatball app is enough for a good dinner. Lobster bisque was very good. Tropical salad was so so. Filet was very tasty. Lobster tail was over cooked. Garlic bread accompanies the dinner. Service is excellent! Will return.

Thank you for taking time for review! We agree - it is a beautiful setting - some are used to the traditional cookie cutter look - we try to give an escape to our customers - taking them to South Beach or West Coast feeling. Sorry to hear lobster tail a little over cooked - we try to guide our... More

We came up from Allentown to try Oyster with another couple. I do rely on tripadvisor and noticed that the reviews were pretty good. I also had my eye on the Wasabi Crust Filet and the Scallops. We all started with drinks, a Martini;s Martini, Marilyn Monroe, and a draft beer. Appetizers were Fire and Ice and small plate of... More

Just returned from a quick trip to Wilkes Barre to attend an event at the Kirby Center. My husband and I had reservations to stay at the Best Western Genetti Hotel & Conference Center, and had read favorable reviews about Oyster ( the restaurant happens to be in the hotel). Arriving on Saturday afternoon we attempted call down to make... More

Its a nice simple buffet. There is a little salad and topings, 2 hot items, 2 or 3 soups and breads. What's nice is everything is included in the reasonable price, even your beverage.

Thank you for your fine comments on Oyster lunch buffet. At $7.95 which includes your soft drinks from Tuesday til Friday from 11:30 til 2 PM. I just don't understand why you did not give a higher rating? Thom More

After a tiring day traveling we were very pleased to be served good drinks! The menu always has a few unusual offerings which makes it fun to peruse. The Caesar salad and the well garnished spinach salad were both enjoyed. Instead of rolls you are served something like a biscuit with a pizza flair. Very good and served warm. Our... More

The ambience is very nice once you get past the hotel front lobby. The menu has very nice choices. The tomato sauce is excellent and the pasta perfectly cooked. The meatballs are very tasty. My wife's chicken parm was tasty but a little tough. The waitress on her first day had no clue how to open a bottle of wine.... More

Thanks for your comments! Usually we get RAVES about the chicken Parmesan. All good Italian food. Sorry you did not enjoy our Fried Apple Cinnamon Won Ton - it does call for lots of cinnamon and walnuts! Yes, we are training a new server to help Michael - I trust you will get the wine opening right! Thom Greco More

Really good crab cake, and excellent service from Michael and Jannel. This was our second visit to the restaurant and the hotel in which it's located

Instead of bread you get refrigerator cold pizza squares which was over sauced and otherwise too cold to assess. I order the steak au provoire which would have been excellent had the chef any any inclination to prepare it as I asked - medium well. I was warned that it could not be guarenteed if ordered warmer than medium. This... More

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I agree - the steak au proivre is an excellent dish! Sorry that it did not come out the temperature you requested. We do not accept requests for "well done" as it destroys the nature of the filet mignon and we will get complaints about the quality of the steak. Medium Well... More

The best in the area. Great food, great people. Give it a try. Best food in the area. Nice assorted menu. Best crab cakes anywhere. You will not be sorry. People are friendly and provide outstanding service. Bar is nice and quiet. Inside is eloquent and well presented.
