Some of the best prepared and seasoned food I've had in the past year. Had the special: tenderloin medallions with shrimp. Fantastic food amd atmosphere. Will definitely eat here again when visiting York.

We ate here tonite and the crab cakes lived up to the hype. The pork chop and prime steak were also good. I suggest trying the tavern shake for dessert.

It's really hard to return to a restaurant you once frequented many years ago on a weekly basis... You've heard the horror stories. Food people just hate change right? But, I am pleased to say that while things have indeed changed at the Roosevelt Tavern, it is still a wonderful, relaxing place to enjoy a fine dining experience! Yep, right... More

We have been dining at this restaurant for the past 18 years, less so since the change in ownership several years ago. The food used to be very good .... always consistent. Today it has become a very pricey restaurant that gives less food, and not the same quality as previous owners who sold out after owning it for many... More

Thank you FrequentcruiserPa for your recent review of the Roosevelt tavern and for your 18 yrs of continued dining experiences with us. When we purchased the restaurant from the former owners 5 yrs ago and made a commitment to the community to use only the freshest seasonal ingredients available to us throughout the year. Upon researching your negative reviewing history... More

I was here for lunch and ordered one of the specials-roast beef with bacon and pepper jack cheese on a pretzel roll with some amazing sauce and homemade chips. I expected something plain, and this was the opposite-excellent! The prices for sandwiches were around $11, a great deal! I went with a large group and the rest of the group... More

We had dinner off the pub menu and it was outstanding. Crab cakes sandwich is excellent. Good choice of craft beers and a very interesting drink menu. Consistently good, we will be back!

a refurbished York tradition. great for a business lunch or Sunday Dinners. we like the seafood but the have a wide selection of food, wines and full bar. old style elegant service in evening. and they can get you in and out for a business lunch. We love the wine selection and full service bar for business. great parking, easy... More

Heads up - food is great so now to the cons. when they ask you if you want bacon or cheese on your burger, make sure to ask how much. this place is loaded with extra charges. i don't like when a restaurant is not up front about their adders. its not the adder but the way that they get... More

Thank you for taking time to send feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your food. You are correct on the up add on's on burgers we charge $1.00 to add bacon & if you would like cheese we charge $.50 rather than just building add on's into the price because some people do not want anything on there burgers. We... More

Came here on a week night with some co-workers for dinner, while in the area for business. Did the call ahead, so we were seated right away. We all had a good time. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The price was about right for the area and the quality.... More

We had not been to the Roosevelt Tavern in over a year and decided to give it a try again. The restaurant website and menu looked a little more impressive than in the past. The hostess was friendly and very professional upon our arrival. Our waiter was also very professional and knew the elaborate listing of specials off the top... More
