This restaurant closed some time ago. While it was a classic in its day it had become a bit forlorn.

Used to be a great place for dinner, but management let the place slide. When you walk by you'll see a bunch of guys sitting at the bar watching TV. Not my idea of a relaxing dining experience.
Liked this no frills restaurant. Sadly it has closed (spring 2015) but there is a new owner and plans to reopen in the summer, perhaps with a new name.
I live in Newport and drive across the bridge to the Oyster Bar every few weeks. We love the cod and the great calamari! The fries are delicious, too!

Didn't really know what were in for but pleasantly surprised. Inside is a typical pub but the food went beyond typical pub fare. I really enjoyed the Portugese Clams, clam chowdah (excellent), and clam cakes. Can't go wrong here. Definitely worth the stop.
Sat by open windows to the street for a lovely breeze on a gorgeous July Sunday afternoon. Has the crab cake appetizer which was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place as a must do!

This is a nice friendly restaurant in the heart of Jamestown. We had a fantastic bartender, Mike, who was always smililing, cheerful, and attentive . We enjoy sitting at the bar when we go. Everyone is so friendly here.
