This restaurant was much fancier than the one I remember visiting in Cambridge many years ago. This is a fine dining experience and well worth it. My salmon was perfect, with heaps of steamed broccoli and sautéed spinach. Hot rolls (gluten-free upon request) with butter were available. My husband said the fish and chips were excellent. The menu had many... More

Consistent quality in food and service. Staff always courteous. The best baked stuffed lobster ( with scallops & shrimp include in the stuffing)! Try the seafood casserole as an option. Oops, the chowder is a "must". It's creamy with ample portions of clams. The clamcakes are terrific- crispy and not greasy. My relatives from NYC, PA, & CA raved about... More

If you are in a hurry get it to go and eat it on the plane or bus. If you have time enjoy the very fun and kind wait staff. You can't go wrong here.

I believe the problem with chain restaurants is they rest on their laurels a bit too much. In Rhode Island, there is far too much competition from private owned restaurants for that attitude. I've had better lobster, whole belly clam dinners and other meals at other restaurants in the area that I will not mention here. There is definitely room... More

Ate there with friends. My meal was good but everyone else complained. Service was spotty. Won't be back.

If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to try Legal Sea Foods - they have a long history of being a top seafood choice. We had the lobster bisque, a lobster roll, an almond-crusted salmon, and bananas foster for dessert. Not one bit went to waste! (We shared the dessert). The artwork on the walls included posters... Fortunately, we had a reservation. even with that, still had to wait for a table. Server was pleasant, but clearly overwhelmed. Food was wonderful as always, but we definitely got the feeling that it was an eat and go dining experience. Simple customer courtesies were lacking; drink refills, more bread, etc. Will go back, because the food is good, but... More

This was my second time eating at this restaurant (previous time was one year ago). I was enjoying the most succulent mussels in a white wine butter sauce when I found a 3/4 inch plastic shellfish tag in the sauce (imagine the end of the plastic tag that attaches the price tag to clothing). The manager explained that it was... More
