Mixed review.EXTREMELY busy for a Wednesday evening.no reservations accepted so we arrived at 5:45. We were told an hour thirty minute wait. We went to the bar to get drinks and appetizers. Bar waitress was excellent and quickly procured drinks and appetizers. Air conditioning faltered...with such a crowd so the 2 hour wait was way too long and hot. By the time we finally were seated and got food it was almost 8:30. The seafood we ordered was good - swordfish, crab cakes were both tasty. My husband has seafood allergies and ordered chicken tenders which were dried out and tasteless. Overall I would say not worth the wait. I am guessing smaller local spots would provide a more pleasant dining experience.More

This place has an excellent location right on the water. We had a group of 8 and everyone's food was excellent. The service was outstanding and food was ready in a short period of time.

Eating here has become a tradition with our family when we are in the area. We really like their food. Everything they make tastes excellent. This time around our meal consisted of Hush Puppies, Coconut Shrimp Appetizer, She-Crab Soup, Seafood Pasta, Shrimp and Grits, and...the Peanut Butter Pie. The food hit the spot. They do not take reservations so be prepared for a long wait (1 - 1 1/2 hours). It is definitely worth the wait.More

My wife and I went here even though it is very crowded, and we found a place at the outside bar to order right away instead of waiting 45 minutes or more. The bartender was wonderful and we got great service despite her being very...busy. They must make a fortune on drinks. The menu is huge and you can find most anything you may like. It reminded me to some big seafood restaurants in Myrtle Beach- very good seafood but not a fancy restaurant. We sat next to some young Marines and bought them dinner. My wife got the crispy scored flounder which was the full fish and very tasty. I ordered a local beer and the Dockside dinner- a large meal of a 6 oz lobster tail, baked scallops, crab legs and fresh shrimp, with corn on the cob and a baked potato. It was all very good but was probably too much for one person to eat. There was a breeze in the patio bar area and so was very pleasant. I shared a very good piece of Key lime pie with one of the Marines. It was a very fun dinner.More

We stopped in on a Saturday evening after a long beach day at Hunting Island State Park. We did not have a reservation so the wait was about 40 minutes. They invited us to wait in the bar so we headed over for a local...beer. The bartender, Mallory, told us we could order food so we did just that and food was delicious and quick. I had swordfish and it was like butter...so good! Highly recommend this restaurant!More

Great place to stop, it was busy and luckily got seats at the bar where Jessica and Jackie took amazing care of us. The food was on point and quick. As popular as this place is it is still one if the best in town.

Based on our experience and talking with the staff, expect to wait for a table during dinner hours. Be advised that they do not take reservations. The food was very good and the staff worked hard. The cornbread served before the meal was great. Crab...cakes, veggies, and potato were a generous meal. Definitely popular with the locals.More

Four of us stopped for lunch yesterday and we left "fat and happy". We dined on the deck overlooking the water. Service was top notch. The food was excellent and well prepared. We had everything from seared Tuna salad, fish (mahi) tacos, fried shrimp, and...a combo fried platter. All were perfectly prepared and properly seasoned. We sill be bak. BOb KMore

We went at 430 because of the reviews and say by 500. Prior we sat outside on the benches and talked with a nice breeze. Inside we sat by the window which was wonderful. The server was attentive, fast and courteous. Our food arrived hot...and fresh. It was delicious. Would visit again if ever in town.More

The time of my visit was before Covid-19. There are new rules and regulations. Everyone is mandated to wear masks in businesses and public buildings including hotel lobby.
