This restaurant just needs to shut the door. Most of the stuff looks wasted and those who may be good people are handicapped by sorry food. Stay away from this place. Not worth a visit.

This was a booming business not too long ago but... between the legal/financial issues of the original owner of the Old Armory and the new owner not having enough class to hold the door open for a female patron and berating his staff in front of bar patrons it hasn't taken me many bad experiences to decide that I didn't... The Old Armory Steakhouse is in downtown Camden, SC. Our server was extremely nice and efficient. We had gulf fried shrimp and ribs. The ribs were tasty without being buried in sauce as you find in some places. The fried shrimp was lightly battered and very good as well. The salads were good as well with fresh greens. Don't miss... More

I had heard from a visitor to Camden that the Shrimp and Grits dinner was the best ever. Always skeptical at superlatives I decided to try the Old Armory again (last trip was too ordinary to be so expensive. You can imagine my disappointment to find that the dinner I had come to sample was not on the menu. But... More

My husband and I went for dinner admittedly at an off hour (3:30pm) and we both ordered a rib-eye steak that came with a salad and two side dishes. We both commented that the salads tasted like they were left over from lunch. The croutons in the salads were almost inedible because they were so stale. We split a bowl... More

They have the normal hamburgers and also shrimp and fries. The service is very good and the food is great.

No longer open. I don't know if it will open again. I ate here in 2014 and it was a great restaurant at the time. I don't know why it is closed now.

Local restaurant closed by Feds, Taxes is the rumor. Old local's restaurant. Always good staff that partially make up for the uninteresting food. Located off the main drag, on Rutledge St. Other restaurants near-by you might want to try them first!

I order the ribeye with a baked potato, once they brought me my food it had green beans on the plate. I informed the waitress that I am severely allergic to green beans. apparently they just took the plate back and scrapped off the vegetables because here I sit drinking benedryl covered in hives. They obviously only care about money... More

Had the 12 oz. House sirloin that came with 4 jumbo fried shrimp. I ordered medium rare and unfortunately when I got it, the steak was was medium well to well done. It was a nice cut of meat approx 1" to 1.5" thick. However it was very dry due to being overcooked. I ate about 1/4 of it and... More
