We have eaten here at least a dozen times, and they never disappoint. This trip, waiter Mike was absolutely one of the best servers we have ever experienced anywhere (he has been there for a while). He knows the menu inside and out! The oyster selection is always amazing, offering at least 5 varieties. The clams are consistently of the... More

We ate here twice during our visit to Charleston, in large part because the shrimp and mushroom risotto was so delicious I had to have it again. Kudos to the chef working on Sunday January 15th at lunchtime- it was not on the lunch menu and he made it for me anyway. Thank you! My husband had the fried seafood... More

I had always avoided Amen, thinking that it was too touristy. We went with a business associate last Thursday and we're incredibly pleasantly surprised. Even though it was Restaurant Week it wasn't overly crowded. While there was so much too noisy over-served woman at the bar our booth was still Quiet enough to be able to converse. Service was excellent... More

Food was done well. Entrees of shrimp & grits and shrimp risotto were tasty and fresh. Shrimp and grits was spicy and good! Shrimp corndog appetizers were served with spicy mustard and ketchup.

I ordered the shrimp and grits. Let's just say I would rather go to another broken egg for my shrimp and grits. Oysters are good though!

We ate dinner here on a cold weekend in JAN, and the service definitely warmed our souls. Our waitress was excellent, personable and knowledgeable about the food. We really enjoyed the friend oysters and pecan pie!

The crab cakes were good although not the best that I have had. Service was a rather slow. It was a little loud in the restaurant. Not a good place for a quiet romantic dinner for 2.

Description
Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life. Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor. The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish. We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.
